Can ffmpeg used in zaurus earily than CXX00? There are many SL-7500C in China. 7500C can not support bvdd.

SL-7500C is c750 with other keymap (for those who do not know). I suggest installing Ångström as it has X11 server with XVideo/XRandR support so for playing videos is is best Zaurus model.

C1000/3x00 General discussions / Zaurus Jtag Cable
« on: February 01, 2008, 02:52:45 am »
http://blog.haerwu.biz/2006/08/09/sharp-zaurus-jtag-cable/ is schematics of official Sharp Zaurus JTAG cable. It is from SL-5500 service manual and require Win32 JTAG tool.

And I can not get it how you were able to brick sl-cxx00 device... From what I know only collie (5000/5500) can be bricked - rest of Zaurus devices warrant entry to diagnostics where nand restore is available.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Any Versions Able To Run 4gb Sdhc Card?
« on: December 24, 2007, 06:10:06 am »
You need kernel 2.6.21 or newer iirc to have SDHC working. I do not remember which version pdaX use (it was 2.6.16 with r121).

Dell D400 - 12" screen, no CDROM/DVD drive at all, Pentium Mobile cpu

I use it as 32bit build machine for Poky/Ångström and sometimes when I travel.
I hope it works OK for you! How is the battery life? And the heat?
During long builds CPU goes to 70°C even so the airflow is quite hot. I use cpufreq 'ondemand' on it so it automatically lower cpu speed when not too much to do.

Battery gives me 40 minutes. New one is on a way to me.

Ångström should be able to use SDHC cards on Zaurus models.

6000 - Tosa / Angstrom Status On Tosa
« on: November 20, 2007, 09:03:17 am »
speculatrix: and this will rather never happen.

Wlan-ng driver is written in so ugly style that it will never get into mainline kernel, prism2 on usb is something which is not available on market and probably most of it's users moved to other solutions when wanted WPA (as bonus they got 802.11g chipsets).

JackA: there is a chance as always. Someone has to start work on collie support - thats all. Many developers have collie but also other devices so nothing strange that this old PDA is more and more dust covered.

Current status of collie is: 2.6.21 kernel works, SD/MMC works, no one works on getting it working in nice way. Guy who wrote SD/MMC support had problem with is desktop machine (mainboard breakage) and I do not know what is status of it.
