Thanks Meanie!

Do you think freeciv or Wesnoth would work in pdaxqtrom?

I might look into compiling stuff with iwmmxt optimisations to make apps run faster, but this would mean it would onlly work on the newer clamshell models...

Please do not let us 6000 user out!
PdaXQTRom holds the main apps I am using on the Z (ie, Gnumeric).

During the installation process, I see the script looking for a games pack, is this somewhere in process (there are many games in pdaxqt I would be happy to see on the Z). :-)

looks like I compiled it wrongly. it needs the zgcc image to be mounted in order to work.i will recompile it again so it doesn't need it.

I have tried to launch dosbox, but I always receive a "no file found" error.
The file seem to be there so I do not know what is happening.
Did someone else had the same problem?
Coud you solve it?

X/Qt / 6000 Keymap
« on: May 27, 2006, 06:24:22 pm »
Thanks adf,
actually, I should be using smuelas file,as I was doing back when using embeddedDebian, but I cannot make it work.

I would be interested in using Tetsu's kernel, while waiting for the final Guylhem rom, especially for overclocking, but I do not think the issue is there....

2options I'm aware of.
1st, you've already read smuelas' old posts on the xqt threads and checked his website? He had posted some xmodmap stuff--unless that is the stuff you already dl'd?

2nd, maybe trying tetsu's kernel will kelp with keymapping?  (I don't know either way, but it is a known  issue and his kernel is recentish)

X/Qt / 6000 Keymap
« on: May 27, 2006, 12:20:37 pm »
Hallo,

I just installed pdaxqtrom on my 6000 and everything si working fine as expected (great work indeed!) except for the keymapping.
I tried to download and copy the .xmodmaprc for the 6000 in /etc/X11/kb, to run xmodmap -pke > /home zaurus/.xmodmaprc with .xmodmaprc in /home/zaurus, but none helped.
The mapping is always wrong (no : or " for example).

Can someone help me to set this up correctly?

Thank you very much!
Regards,
Adalberto

General Discussion / Probelm With Multiple Sd Partion On Sharp Rom
« on: May 24, 2006, 08:10:30 pm »
Hi all,

I tried toset up and use my SD card with 2 partitions following the instruction in the Link here.
The only think I did not do was changing the /etc/pcmcia/ide.opts file as I was not doing anything on the CF card.
The partitions where created but when I insert the SD card, only 1 (mmcda1) is automounted.
I can manually mount/umount the second partition but I would prefer to have it done automatically.
My impression is that /etc/sdcontrol2 is not used.
What can I do to solve this?

I also noticed that the howto suggests to change /etc/ipkg.conf with "dest CF" also for the SD card. Shouldn't it be "dest SD" or "dest card"?

One last think, when I mount the second partition, it appears in the file tab as "SD" too.
Is there a way to make it appear as "SD2" or so, to distinguish it from the first one?

Thank you very much,
Good night,
Adalberto

6000 - Tosa / Xqt For 6000
« on: May 22, 2006, 07:58:42 am »
Sorry Meanie, but I am a bit lost.
On my 6000 should I install the latest pdaxqtrom-base image or should I instead install all the IPK in the base feed in order to have the latest X/QT you are speaking about here?

Thank you,
Cheers,
Adalberto

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Games Under Gpe

Hi,

I've compiled Exult 1.4.x (cvs version) for GPE...
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=125376\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

Hi,

That's great news, especially because the 1.4 branch adds the notetaking functions, which is quite useful in playing an RPG on an Handheld!

And the stock rom only has 1.2 working, thanks to artaxerses from the exult team!

:-)

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Gpe Sync News?
« on: May 01, 2006, 12:13:46 pm »
Hi,
Are there any news regarding GPE syncing with a Desktop PIM?

It would be great if it could sync wil Outlook, maybe via Qtopia Desktop like the OPIE apps do?

Thanks,
Cheers,
Adalberto
