It supports worldwide ordering (IIRC that's what their site said).

I guess it doesn't support. I cannot find China in all the pre-ordering sites.

That's what I'm hoping too, Chero....

FWIW, I got email back from Pandora that I could order through PayPal by just sending them funds through PayPal using their PayPal account address. They just asked that I get through checkout process just before making payment and copying the info on the order summary page and pasting it into the PayPal payment message box...did that and they sent me an email back confirming that I ordered a Pandora....

Just thought this might be helpful info to someone else who might want to order via PayPal....

Anyway, this lil' thing better be good or Capn_Fish is in big trouble.....

I remembered there were some threads on this some time ago, but I cannot find it now.
Android needs more RAM than 64MB, so it seems more desirable now. any clues? Thanks.

Did you try using a swap partition?

Yes, i have enabled swap partition. But that cannot be compared with more RAM.

Wow, cortez, what a great job you have done! I really thank you for your great contribution.  You work has revived my Zaurus C3200, which has slept for one year. After I have got my N800, it began to sleep. But now, it has a working environment.

But so far, the touch screen doesn't work, so is there any ongoing work? I have read that touch screen for N8x0 seems working, at least there is one patch: http://groups.google.com/group/android-int...c6ff76e0381e95a

Meanwhile, if you can share your kernel source and config, it would be great!

Thanks, glad you like it. I'm currently in the process of getting an Akita image ready. I've made adjustments to the touch screen driver, and hope to get that ready in time for the Akita image. Then there is the adjustment AndroidZaurus mentioned for a more graceful exit from Android, by using the Cancel-key on the back. And last but not least, a Tosa is coming my way, so that could mean one more device to support

Has this thread totally died?  I can't imagine there has been NO progress on Android for Zaurus in nine months!

I do find sites that tell Linux experts how to roll-your-own but no updates on the install files.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

I have a working Android 0.9i Beta currently, using a patched 2.6.26 kernel. I'll post an image with instructions on my Blog shortly.

Nokia Tablet / Thinking Of Getting An N800

Got my N800 for several days. I was pretty satisified with the device. Though the hardware side, only screen size/resolution and embedded camera/FM and internal RAM/Flash outperform my C3200, I do believe the software side is also a Win. The GUI is pretty beautiful and stable, I like the Opera with it, supports flash and more sites, also improves the responsiveness even with the low frequency CPU.

I really hope that Intel can closely co-operate with Sharp on the next generation Z, with their long time co-operation in Zaurus, it seems to be possible. But don't sure whether it will come to True. Since the biggest problem of current Z is what Intel's mobile internet device provides: connectivity, with it, Zaurus will be a perfect platform.  
Meanwhile, a Zaurus with x86 instruction set seems to be tempting.

Nokia Tablet / Thinking Of Getting An N800

I was tempted to buy a N800, mainly for it's large LCD.
But it is only available in US and Europe, I will wait for my friends to help get one, hopefully in the end of April.
I have a C3200, and have used 5500,C3000, Z is great, but Sharp doesn't seem to continue its development, so we may switch to other alternatives.
