Debian / A Clean, Fresh, Configured Eabi Rootfs Tarball

Hello!

Thank you very much for this detailed instructions and the rootfs

After using it, I have a few suggestions that would make the installation IMHO easier and better:

-Please, include pre-installed wpa_supplicant. It is a really small package that will bring no more dependencies, and it gives the possibility to join our wifi networks at home when installing ( because all of you have WPA, right  ? )

-Please, include dropbear instead of openssh-server. Its memory footprint is really smaller and the funcionality is almost the same.

Debian / Flash Player

i'm trying to install a macromedia flash player to my debian eabi

after googleing, i apt-get install konqueror-nsplugins swfdec-mozilla

when i launch konqueror, i can go to the plugins preferences and i see swfdec attached to flash

but i'm still unable to see flash animations on web sites (i just see nothing) nor to play flash swf files...

anyone succeed in ?

Just appeared in SID konqueror-plugin-gnash . It is not working well for me in i386, but it couldn't hurt to try when it arrives in ARM Eabi ...

You can install cacko onto flash, install angstrom on harddisk (both the normal defaults) then get the cacko zImage file, use kexec in Angstrom to boot it and it will boot cacko from flash from inside Angstrom.

altboot is not installed in flash, you have confused it with something else I think.

For the sake of completeness and future reference, what XorA said is possible, and after trying it I made a small howto some time ago:

Hola a todos!

Veo que últimamente no se registró nadie, pero me apuntaré de todas formas  Ungoliant, desde Vigo.

Soy el afortunado poseedor de una Zaurus SL-C3100 desde el verano. Actualmente tiene instalado Cacko en flash y Angstrom en el HD, pero pronto pasará a tener una Debian SID EABI

Hello all!

I recently bought a zaurus (sl-3100) and I tried some roms.

I found that the one which meets my requirements now is Cacko, but I would like to develop and test for Angstrom/Openzaurus ( which I think is the one with more future ).

Would be possible to me to install Cacko and Openzaurus in the same machine? I can see that Cacko is only installable in the flash memory, and it would overwrite the altboot boot loader ( and the other way around ).

Is there any way to move Cacko from the nand to a CF/SD card? or to the hard disk?
Is there any way to install a boot loader like altboot or uboot while Cacko is in the nand ( without damaging them) ?
