I've never seen or heard about that issue before.
P.S. It might help somebody (not necessarily me) to post what Zaurus model you have and where the symlinks are going to (SD, CF, etc.).

Yes, pdaXrom is actively developed. There is a new release expected in a couple of weeks. Thanks for the quick reply, I am in no hurry, should I just wait for the next release?

I'm currently running cacko, but I'd like to give pdaXrom a go...I am in the same situation with an c860. Looks like my choices are beta1 or r121. I am not religious about kernels. I just need Socket BT support and a robust development environment (on or off Z is fine).
I'm wondering if there's any scientific calculator available in OZ/Opie?
Hi,
I have a SL-C3100 Zaurus with Cacko 1.23. In general I feel good with the zaurus but now I want to synchronize my Zaurus with Lotus Notes. Regrettably I haven 't enough knowledge or experience to come along with it.
I spend much time to find anything working at this forum but with no success!
One entry at this forum "https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=72&t=5351" talks from Intellisync 5.00.02 which should have "Lotus Notes Connectors" but sadly this version of intellisync isn 't available anymore. Does someone has it and maybe could provide it for me.
Did someone manage it to synchronize Zaurus [Ko/Pi, KA/Pi, email] with Lotus Notes?
Regards
climber

Is it possible? making a simple GUI using perl on the Z?What GUI?
I do a lot of text processing and would really like to learn an "easy to master" language that I could use on multiple platforms that could also display a real simple GUI to make it a little more friendly. I've also heard about Python, but a bit in the dark about that. One condition is that it must be able to support Japanese characters for file input/output.
Any thoughts appreciated.

When you say it's really slow on the Nokia 770, how slow is this? Do you have the test loop data available for that machine? It takes about 1000 sec. I built Free42 for Zaurus and Nokia and it does not have a performance problem. Looking at software as the issue.
I don't really understand what your base & turbo MHz figures mean in the table on the bottom of your page: http://sense.net/zc/x48/
Doesn't the xScale run at a single frequency (though it can be changed), or do you use some kind of cpufreq and these are the boundary speeds? Presumably the 770 should be as fast as the c860 @ ~220MHz, but from your comment about it being slow, I'm not so sure.
Thanks,
Simon
P.S. Are the binaries on your page optimised for the xscale?

there is a problem with your download links, instead of downloading the binaries it opens an html page with many charachters and letters such as a page with errors
please check
