Here is a super package. I only took the Zaurus out of the box to  double check the proc and it is the 255! I also have a brand new 64 meg CF card, a D-link DCF-660W CF WiFi card with drivers and manual. I also have a still in the package extreme limit body suit case for the 5600 model. This is the best fitting and designed case for the 5600 and it has been discontinued, I got one of the last 2, shipped directly from Japan, they are now out of production. If that isn\'t enough I have an extra Zaurus factory charger/cradle for syncing @ work! I will also include a CD with over 100 apps and games for the zaurus that I have collected if you want to save yourself some downloading, the software is just a bonus and not ment to infringe on any GPL and is to be considered free. This is a great package which includes all the factory manuals, warranty, box everything. I will give the board first dibs on it before I ebay it.

$525 shipped in the US or $545 overseas.

I am thinking of keeping the 5600 over the dell x3i. I would like to optimize the zaurus with the best kernel/ rom package for stability and performance and ease of use. Any combinations that work best with the 255? what version of TKC rom would work the best and what would be an easy to configure wi-fi cf card?

Thanks for the feedback, I was thinking of getting a 5500 at some point to be able to dig into and have fun with. The zaurus keyboard is a huge plus! The X3i should be in Friday, it is going to be a difficult decision.

Ok I have a decision to make:

My uses for a handheld are:

PIM, sync with outlook
Wi-Fi at home with mp3 and web browsing
Wi-Fi @ borders maybe web/email
portable MP3
a few games
possible spread sheet and text input to forms, in the future.

I now have a new 5600 with the 255 proc, unopened as of yet. Sending back a defective 5600 with the 250 proc.

In the middle of the night after looking @ all the PPC options, I found the Axim x3i for the same price that I have into the 5600, so I ordered it thinking amazon would send me back another 250 and I would e-bay it and keep the Dell.

The Dell has a transreflective screen, 64 ram and 64 rom plus built in wi-fi and an sd slot.

Obviously, the 5600 has alot of great advantages but I am worried about not using it to it\'s potential and the limited amount of software for it compared to the PPC, and the possibility of me getting in over my head and bricking the 5600 out of my own ignorance. Financially it is a wash and will make out OK selling one or the other.  I am a social worker with a minor in CIS and have not written any code in a looooooooong time, and that was only java and cobol.

What do people think?

Looking for some input. I had a gift certificate to amazon and just got a 5600 with the pxa250. I have not taken it out of the box yet, and could put it on e-bay and have cash instead of the gift certificate. I could turn around and get a used 5500 with maybe a few extras, and walk away with $100 to buy goodies with.

What would you do?

I should be getting my 5600 this week, hopefully it will have the 255 proc!
I was wondering if people could recommend a good sd mem card and cf wi-fi. I primarily wants to out of the box sync with outlook on xp and then connect wirelessly to my xp box to e-mail and e-bay.
