Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Problems Flashing 3.5.3 On A 5500
« on: April 21, 2005, 09:24:50 pm »
The other thing is the sequence of releasing the buttons.

I have found that if you release the reset button first it seems to work more smoothly.

cheers

HI,

Sometimes I have had a similar problem and found that there are other files on the flash card which cause the problem. It may be worth while checking the cf card contains only the 2 files needed, and no hidden files.

hope that helps.

issue fixed, it seems that the sd card I had in from a previous install was the cause of the error.

I reformated that card and the warning has stopped.

thanks for all the help.

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Bluetooth Error
« on: April 18, 2005, 08:10:13 pm »
Hi,

I have a Belkin Bluetooth CF Card model F8T020 this card is recognised by OZ 3.5.3 collie as Compaq iPAQ Bluetooth Sleeve.

When I plug the card into the slot the green light flashes on and then off.

When I view the log from the system info app I get the following error.

bcsp_rscv: Out-of_order packet arrived, got 1 expected 0

Is there a config to fix this or should I install a bluez patch or any other idea would be great.

thanks

Kyle

Thats for the tips, I cannot understand, where is got the wrong kernel from I downloaded the files at the same time from the same place. I clean up and download them again.

As for the BT card, I have a Belkin F8T020.

It shows up as a Compaq sleeve or similar. I can accutally see the card "collie" from my laptop but cannot validate it.

the log says somthing like

bcsp_rscv error received 1 expected 0.

I am hoping that my kernel issue is causing problems and when I fix that the rest will work.

thanks

Sharp ROMs / Cacko Rom And Belkin Bluetooth
« on: April 13, 2005, 01:55:29 am »
Hi

I have the latest version of the Cacko Rom for sl5500.

Its install and working well.

However I am having real trouble getting my Belkin Bluetooth card to work.

The Bluetooth card is a cf card Belkin model number F8T020.

I have install the latest version of the bluez bluetooth drivers and the network applets, and other things, however it is still not working.

I'm sure I am missing a simple element.

When I do a cardctl ident i get the following feedback

product info: "CF CARD", "GENERIC", "", ""
manfid: 0x0279, 0x950b

when I try hciconfig nothing is returned.

I'm not sure what I'm ment to have in the bluetooth.conf file?

any assistance would be unreal.

for me when this happens its because there are hidden files on the cf card. I would check that to start with.

Just a thought.

Hi Ethereal,

Thanks for the fast reply.

I have downloaded that version, though I put it in
/lib/modules/2.4.18-rmk7-pxa3-embedix/

As the dir you suggest is not there. Should I create it and then place it.

Thanks

General Discussion / GPS receiver Help
« on: March 14, 2004, 03:07:11 pm »
Hello,

I have looked around the posts and searched a bit and found a few messages dealing with gettting GPS to work with the Zaurus.

Here\'s what I have.

Haicom HI-303CF Compact Flash GPS Receiver.
Zaurus SL5500
Currently I am using Openzaurus 3.3.5 though I also have Cacko rom also.

I have tried many of the suggetions listed in the posts and keep hitting a brick wall.

I have tried qpegps, zgps, qtgps, as well as various version of GPSD. I have tried to find a current version of serial_cs.o that is compatiable with the 2.4.18 kernel, thoug I cannot find one. The version I have gives a mismatch error as its compiled for 2.4.6

I guess what I need is either a how to or some help in getting the different bits together and I\'ll write a how to. Is

If anyoune could provide some assistance I would be very grateful.

regards

Kyle
