Software / Gaim on opie 1.1.3

I ran it using the comapt libs, and I'm getting this error:

        :~# runcompat gaim
        /opt/QtPalmtop/bin/runcompat
        gaim: relocation error: /opt/QtPalmtop/lib/libopie.so.1: undefined symbol:    
        _ZN11QCollection7newItemEPv

Software / Gaim on opie 1.1.3

I can't get gaim to work on opie 1.1.3. When I click on the app icon it appears on the taskbar and quickly disappears. If I run it from the console I get the following error:

 gaim: relocation error: gaim: undefined symbol: _7QString.shared_null

Any ideas?

I've installed OZ 3.3.6-pre1 and configured my WCF-12 wifi card. I can ping any ip on the lan from the zaurus, and can ping the zaurus from any computer on the lan, but when I try to connect to a site, or ping an ip outside of the lan I get an error saying network is unreachable. This worked fine with the sharprom, could it be something that I haven't configured? Any help is greatly appreciated....Thanks in advance.

The problem with OZ is that it's not very stable for the 5600, I've already tried it, and it's far from being usable for day to day use.

I was able to find init.d it was in:

/etc/rc.d/

I've come accross another problem, there is not opie in init.d, even though I have installed all the opie packages from the sharprom feed. Any clue?

That just installs Opie and it's apps, but the Zaurus still runs with Qtopia instead of Opie. I would like to completely uninstall Qtopia and use Opie. If that's not possible I would like to know how I could configure the Zaurus to start Opie instead of Qtopia.

The Zynergy site https://www.timekiller.org/zynergy/zynergy5600.htm doesn\'t mention anything about including the pre-emptive patches. I think it\'s faster because they decided to use opie instead of Qtopia.

Lirc installed ok (had to symlink the conf file from another directory to /etc), and on reboot i get a message that the lircd.conf file has been loaded. I\'ve tried loading conf files for different tv\'s in the house, but they are either not for the tv or the ir port is not working (wouldn\'t send document to ir printer).

I successfully loaded the conf file in opie-remote, but when i press the power button opie-remote crashes. Any Ideas on what i might have done wrong?

Thanks for the help chapman. Ipk worked like a charm, now i have to make a config file for my remote (lirc.org doesnt have one for my tv). Could you post a link to your patches page? Once again thanks for the help.

That doesn\'t seem to work either, the only search results i get are either to the broken link, or to sites with the broken link. Thanks for the help anyways.
