Zaurus - pdaXrom / Want Compiled Thread?

Pidgin has a CLI called Finch that works well. I don't know if that's in the pdaX package for it (or if there is one), but it may be something to look into.

Thanks Capn,

Would anyone be able to compile this for me for beta 1 ?

Dungeon Crawl
ftp://ftp.dungeoncrawl.org/LATEST/final/

If you find a better source, that would be ok. I am looking for the non-ssh version, that is why I am asking that this be built.. work doesn't like me using ssh

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Xmms On Beta 1

I am trying to play a pls file on XMMS, but it just goes through all of the play list files in the pls file.  For Beta 1 , would I need to just build a new version of XMMS? or could someone build a new BETA 1 version for me that is updated? My main purpose in this is to be able to listen to some online radio.

I believe that the temp location is ~/.gimp, so if you move and symlink that, all should be well.

Ok thanks, sorry for the dumb question.

you familiar with changing the tmp file location for gimp? i don't want it to use the last 7MB of my flash. or at least, remap the tmp folder's location?

I am trying to use a package my brother had installed on this SL6kL and when i tried to run it after installing... (which had no errors when installing)

gimp: relocation error: gimp: undefined symbol: __divsi3

What package might i be missing? And would I be best to wait till ng comes out for GIMP support?

Joined the list, I don't know what I can do to help other than test.. and I am ok with fudging my pdaxrom install to get something better!  Is there going to be a vote or something on which wm to use, or has there been a decision already?  Im all for xfce, but would prefer Gnome.

I do like my new iPhone, though.
I think there are a LOT of people here who would disagree...

My Zaurus still boots, runs apps, and isn't locked down, FWIW. I fail to see how it constitutes as "dead."

Agreed, anything that does what you want and does a good job at doing it is not dead.  The iphone has one down side that any user would know about... soft keyboard.  But to stay on topic... I hope pdaxng will work on my 6k

I don't run pdaXrom (yet), so I don't have any idea on how to fix your problem, but maybe posting in the pdaXrom area of Distro Support would turn up some suggestions.

I'm waiting for version 2 of pdaXrom for my 6000, as I've read that the current version is a little buggy on the 6000.

I believe I had solved my issue... I was able to replicate the issue when pango wasn't properly working and I would try to change the time on my tosa. It would lock up after the time tried to change.

6000 - Tosa / Unit Stops Responding (input)
« on: July 10, 2008, 05:29:45 pm »
After adding some packages and updating a lib or two , it would seem that one of these updates/packages for pdaXrom has created a new issue for me to tackle.  My SL-6000L will boot fine, load X fine but after a few uses of some tools or even if i stop touching it...  The unit refuses to respond to touch screen/keypad input.  I have tried to test if its an issue with the hardware... and it works fine after a reboot by removing the battery and external power plug.  Even if i run a program like top and leave it on the desktop, it will continue to run and the clock will still keep track of time, but touchscreen response works ONLY to move the mouse, will not click on anything and buttons do not do anything on the unit...  what might have caused this?

I hope this is the right location for this question

Any possible hope of avoiding a new install again?  If not, which version should I install for my SL-6000L ? beta 3 again?
