In the beginning, I had this as well, but it dissappeared. I Just don't know why, because i was palying aroung quite a lot, so maybe it was an ipkg-link mount /mnt/card, an opie restart, or maybe even a rebot. All i know, after some days of playing wth the Z, it worked ;-)

Maybe you should specify the version of OZ your'e asking about. I use oz3.3.6pre1, and the only reason I reboot is is my SD card, which makes me trouble one a while.

Did you try to start them from am terminal ?
Look up the command from /opt/QtPalmtop/apps/Applications/whatever.desktop it should be locatet in /opt/QtPalmtop/bin/

Hi !
I am looking for a jaber client for my C700 (openzaurus 3.3.6pre1, Opie1.1.3). So far, i found
-gaim:        installing the libglib2 broke some other stuff, and gaim didn't work
-tkcJabber: 20$, seems to be for the 5xxx, don't know if it works under OZ
-QTJim:      works with the compat libs, but no names, aliases are displayd in the rooster.
                 couldn't send any messages,
-centericq:   works.

P.S.: Yes, i readthe thread \"Wireless extensions in Cacko ROM / kernel?\" and this one \"Getting Wellenreiter Working with New Cacko ROM\", my problem is I can\'t get my card to work with the hermes file. (openzaurus used to use the hostap driver and to have wireless extensions, which doesn\'t seem to be included in cacko ?).

I installed Cacko some days ago and like it pretty much, my only problem is that iwconfig says
eth0           no wireless extensions.
the card works just fine, but i\'d like to see the signal level and so on.
Is tere a Package feed for Cacko ? somewhere i can get all i need for kismet or wellenreiter ? I tried to follow the instructions someone Posted, but can\'t  find a working version of libpcap

I just swtched from OZ 3.3.5 to 3.3.6pre1. All exept the touchscreen seems to work fine, but the cursor seems to jump sidewards.
e.g. with drawpad, when i don\'t move the pen on the touchpad, I get a thick line of 2 cm lenght from the left fo the right and the cursor moves pretty fast within this area.

I reflashed with OZ 3.3.5, and everything is normal again.

My Hardware: C700, Lexar 128MB CF card

Yes, it is. I foun a fix for it http://www.iaccarino.de/silvio/zaurusstuff.htm
You just have to download the kpacman.con to /root/Settings/

I have a C700, and handwriting / drawing works fine under 3.3.5, just no opieplayer and no oxygen :-(

Ok, last night i installed OZ 3.3.6-pre1, an this morning 3.3.5 again. The problem was : a hell lot of segfaults (during a mv, a dd,  a lot of graphical applications, the package installer, ...) a extremely bad touchpad example :
