Unfortunately, in GQview my .png box was already checked, so that didn't change anything.

Hi,
for PNG troubles, try this:
[blockquote]- uninstall whatever libpng version you have installed
- install libpng with the highest version number (currently 2.1.12)
- execute gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders > /etc/gtk-2.0/gdk-pixbuf.loaders
[/blockquote]
The last line is the trick, it fixed png on my Akita. Original post by walkman can be found here:

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Pdaxii13 5.3.3 Akita Full Install -- Poor Performance ?
« on: November 26, 2007, 05:07:37 pm »
That's what I did -- I switched to opebox and I now happily use number of apps running in parallel. Openbox in 5.5 alpha4 is very usable and responsive. Thanks Meanie for putting this all together

joewandy: with pdaXii13v2 5.5.0-alpha4 (at least on Akita) I've noticed quite poor performance of icewm. For some reason it may end up using up 90% of CPU when running just few apps (or for example only XMMS playing some mp3). The responsiveness of the system is not great. I had no time/chance to incestigate that in more details, but icewm was doing fine in older versions of pdaXii. Also in the same 5.5.0-alpha4 version the openbox is more usable and so far it did not show any lockups or unusual CPU usage.

Attached is the keymap I use. For example symlink it as "spitz.xmodmap" or whatever file your ~/.xinitrc is loading.

Hi,
I'm using Polish "programmers layout" with pdaxii13 on Akita. Had to remap few symboks to free 'l' and 'e' up. Other than that no problems, Fn+key works ok.

Try to load the keymap manually. Open terminal in X and do 'xmodmap /etc/X11/kb/spitz.xmodmap' (if I remember the path correctly). That should give you Polish keyboard.
If that's the case, make sure your window manager setup calls xmodmap.

added kdepimpi 2.0.7 into "upgrades" feed

Cheers Hrw. That was quick. There are no release notes for 2.0.7 in SF yet... Just wondering if there's anything significantly different from 2.0.6 that would justify another upgrade. But it's definitely good to have a choice

Hrw: no offense, but that was helpful in what way? Did I missed anything in that other thread? Your updated version 2.0.1 is a good thing, but we're discussing 2.0.6 and how to make it work with latest OZ. But it makes one thinking what exactly a “non-compatible software” would be in open source terms....?  Nah, sorry I'm just messing now ;-P

Anyway...

mimeca: I've just checked that adding a new contact works just fine in 2.0.6. Did you set your resources up? (“Settings/Configure resources” -- a file with a default path usually does the trick ) Somehow I got the impression you're just upgrading PIM and it's already configures

Good luck,
yatza

Hi,
if I recall correctly the release notes say "the packages*might* not install"
I actually use 2.0.6 with OZ3.5.2 and it seems to be working fine. Mail sends and receives messages, I use the organizer quite a lot, I haven't noticed anything strange in the addressbook.

In my case using "--nodeps --force-overwrite" ipkg options did the trick. I might have run 'ldconfig' after install but I don't really remember now. Note that I had the OZ3.5.2 versions installed before, not sure if tat helped in any way.

Anyway, why not giving it a try?

Poland / Problem z Opie-sheet
« on: April 12, 2004, 09:54:32 am »
Hancom (caly office) istaluje sie jak kazdy inny soft. Wersje 1.5.0 (z ostatniego ROMu Sharpa) nie beda dzialaly, ale poprzednie wersje nie sprawiaja zadnych problemow. Sa to: sheet 1.0.1, word 1.4.4, presetner 1.2.8. Oczywiscie potrzebne sa biblioteki oz-compat  Nie testowalem Hancom\'owych programow zbyt dokladnie (tzn. czy dzialaja makra Excela, itp.)... Jednak uruchamiaja sie i mozna ich normalnie uzywac.

Zawsze mozna tez uzyc bibliotek oz-compat (http://zaurus.spy.org/feeds/misc/oz-compat/). Ale to chyba jest w readme do OZ  BTW: nie lepiej uzyc HancomSheet?? Dziala pod OZ 3.3.6-pre1 bez problemow (przynajmniej na 5500). Jakos nie moge sie przekonac do Opie-sheet...
