5x00 General discussions / flashing lights during rom install

The maintenance menu is the key! Thanks for steering me in the right direction, Joe - if you\'re ever in NYC I owe you a drink!

I was able to flash the new rom from the Update command in the maintenenance menu with no problems (I guess that\'s the value of the updater.sh file). 

The real problem seems to be that 98% of the info available on flashing the 5600 is just plain wrong - the familiar C-D-reset key combo on the 5600 is apparently just the command for \"flash lights incessantly and do nothing else.\" Even the Sharp site makes no mention of the maintenance menu for flashing (at least the part I read).

Thanks again to Joe, and theKompany site, which has detailed, correct information on how to flash the 5600 from the menu.

hi, thanks for the effort, i just want to confirm, did you just copy the updater.sh from the sharp rom package along with the OZ bzImage and initrd?
