For Sale / Wanted / Sl-c860 For Sale (south Africa)

Hi! I have been neglecting my Zee (as I call it :-) and think it just fair that a new owner give it the love it deserves! I now have REAL children taking up my time, so my tech babies are feeling neglected!  

It is an original that I imported into South Africa from Japan. Everything is there - original packaging, manuals etc.

Was thinking $210 is probably a fair price these days.

I am in South Africa, so if you need it to be shipped to another country, I would need to confirm the cost and this will be for the buyer's account. We will also have to agree on payment - unfortunately I cannot accept Paypal (South Africa not on it yet - can you believe!!!    ). So will probably have to do an electronic transfer payment...

Anyway, anybody interested, please let me know...

Hi Teletubbie

I had a look at Lyx and agree that this seems like a good alternative.

I wonder how difficult Lyx would be able to port to the Z, since they mention the Qt compatibility on their site.

Any gurus out there that can comment?

X/Qt / GIMP on QT with X/Qt

Hi!

I've been searching the forums with no luck.

I have X/Qt installed and working(I can run xeyes, xter etc.)

I have downloaded and installed from the pdaXrom feeds:

GIMP_1.2.5
GLIB_1.2.10-1
GTK_1.2.10
LIBGIMP_1.2.5

But when in X/QT, in an xterm, I then type "gimp" and enter, then get the following error:

"gimp: error while loading shared libraries: libgcc_s.so.1: cannot load shared object file: No such file or directory.

I can't find any "libgcc" packages on the pdaxrom site or killfiz.de.

Can anybody give me a pointer please?

Thanks for the helpful info! I think I will try Stubear's suggestion to compile the source via Zgcc - not something I have ever done, but the learning will be just as valuable as the final result!!!

Software / Free version of IQnotes for CXXX?

Hi!

I'm testing IQnotes, but it does not go landscpae on my C860(yes, I did uncheck the "magnify" option.)

It is the free version, is there a free version that does landscape, or is this only available in the commercial version?

I am testing IQNotes and StageOne to see which I like best. IQnotes is free and looks OK, but no landscape really makes it a pain. If I buy one, StageOne looks like the more polished and professional option.

Thanks for any help/tips/opinions etc.

Hi twocargar

I bought from "K" - yes, you have the right eBay store. Everything was very professionally handled, except that there was a sligt delay due to K being sick for a while, but all panned out cery nicely in the end.

I am VERY happy with my C860 and can heartily recommend K's services.

(I have no relation to him other than having bought from him!)

Hi Guys

Thanks a lot for your feedback. I have been very happy with the stock 1.40jp Sharp ROM so far, but I will be getting my SD card and reader soon to flash to Cacko - have only read good things about it. I also want to get a Socket BT CF card and it seems the support for it on Cacko is the best of any ROM so far.

Hi!

Just saw this on killefiz. It is an opensource version of Transport Tycoon on your Cx60. Don't know if this is old news or not, but it looks amazing. WIll give this a try in the next few days.

Have a look at the screenshots - DROOL!  

Anybody got this working yet?

Hi Gentlemen!  

Could you create a ZUG for SOUTH-AFRICA please? Dunno if I will be the only one, but it might just trigger some more Z ppl in SA to come out of the woodwork - I'm feeling all lonely with my C860 here at the southern tip of Africa
