Accessories / can\'t get my brand new Socket CF Ethernet to work in OZ

Finally becoming too frustrated with the flakey USB sync, I bought the Socket CF 10Mbit Ethernet card.  Everything I\'ve read indicates it should \"just work\", but it \"just doesn\'t\".  The configuration looks right (DHCP, up on startup), I get a link light on my switch, and the card shows up in the card removal function (the tray icon for removables).  Forcing the interface up at the command line doesn\'t help.  I was using the latest testing version of OZ at first.  I then reverted back to the latest stable release.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  It\'s been a while since I\'ve gotten my hands dirty in linux, so maybe I\'m just overlooking something simple.
