« on: August 08, 2006, 04:58:26 pm »
sashz,

the simulator is working, even stable! on the first view!
i only made transient analysis of a simple amplifier. looks really good.
have a look at the screenshot. cool, now you can lern about electronics
and simulate your circuits at tram or cab. brave new world!

more infos: http://qucs.sourceforge.net

greetings

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Problems Configuring Pdaxrom-builder
« on: August 07, 2006, 05:53:46 am »
hallo,

i downloaded the pdaxrom.iso image and booted it. no problem.
also in setting up the partition for storing settings and files with 'setup',
no problem. swap is also on. next boot he mounted the partition in my case
/dev/hda8, allright. so for example network settings are taken from that partition.
everything is fine.
after that i tried to install and configure the pdaxrom-builder, how described in the doc
'pdaXrom-builder quick start' on www.pdaxrom.org.
by enter: './configure akita-xtools ' the configuration started. after downloaded the first packages
he tried to create directories in /opt path. that gave an error back and the installation was aborted:

directory /opt/cross/arm could not be created: read only file system

curiously in /etc or /home creating directories is possible, but not in /opt which is needed for installation.

has anybody any idea???

i want to make an ipk: 'qucs-0.0.9.' which is an open source electronic circuit simulator.

thanks a lot

Zaurus - pdaXrom / I/O error on sd-card
« on: October 20, 2004, 03:29:41 pm »
hallo,

i recently tried a kingston sd-card and it worked really great without any problems so far.
i've tested it since 2 weeks. really no problems. i don't know what sandisk is going to intend, but their sd-cards are bullshit (cf is working!!). i've tested 3 ones and neither of them worked. i can only recommend the kingston sd-cards! Don't buy sandisk sd-cards.
the are not working! it's wasted money!!

I'm running the gdb and setting some breakpoints for stopping the code.
after running the programm the debugger doesn't stop at the breakpoints!

does anybody know what i've made wrong or have i to activate the set breakpoints?

but how?

thanks for any help!

hi

i think it would be a nice feature to make phone calls with the z.
i don`t know if somebody is working on compiling kphone for X11ROM  or is it  yet compiled? am i the only one who is interested in that toy?
on sourceforge.net there is a ipk available, but only for the Qt rom. it's a pity...

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.p...ckage_id=125452

if somebody is working on it, give a short reply!
thanks

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Kathrin RC2 available now
« on: September 03, 2004, 04:42:57 pm »
hallo,

i'm really impressed what's going on with the new release. well done!
i found out some things which don't work properly.

1. xcirp app doesn't receive/send data via cellphone or palm-pda. it only succeeded once out of
7 or 8 times via nokia phone by receiving a vcard. if it hasn't worked the app hung up and only
    could killed.

2. the new lan/wifi config tool doesn't save/load several profile names, so i always have to type
a new setting! with the old one it worked great!!!

3. the suspend crash with xmms got better, i had it only once until now.

4. i tried to install via network and manual (ipkg) some apps, which need the xfree430 ipk
i don't know why the need it, but the do. this ipk makes the ERROR and couldn't get installed.
but it was already mentioned some replies above.

5. an app  with reminder/alarm function ist still missing. i don't understand why the fltdj app is included
in the main package as ORGANIZER instead of the kopi, which is much better. and the step to
mount the alarm functiom in kopi shouldn't be so far away. i think it's already compiled by the kopi
    team for the desktop kopi.

one question: has anybody success in working with the ppp-dialer via irda to connect the internet
or a mail-server??

so far well done and good luck in getting the bugs fixed.
it makes really fun playing around with kathrin!!!

hallo

i read about the new features and fixed bugs in the next version.
i hope the xcirp and ppp-dialer apps will be working.
is it possible to connect the internet via mobile phone?
i missed kopi as default organizer app and what about the alarm function in kopi.
is it possible to get it work until next release?

thanx for your work

Zaurus - pdaXrom / I/O error on sd-card
« on: May 06, 2004, 01:44:15 pm »
i have still the same problems with my sd-card. it\'s matter if msdos or ext2 fs is on it.
i had also that error which nakor described.

pdaxrom.org offered a new sd-module ipk.

does anybody knows how to setup it and if it helps? i think it must be a module which needs to be integrated with insmod or modprobe. or ist it a simple application?
how to get rid of the sharp_mmcsd_m.o module, which is allways running? even if no card is inserted.

has anybody experiences with lexar 512mb sd-cards?

thanks for any reply.

hii,

thanks. but I\'ve done this already. that dos not help.. after trying to mount the device
following error:
/dev/mmcda1: invalid argument
mount: you must specify the filesystem type

rescan with e2fsck shows:
e2fsck: invalid argument while trying to open /dev/mmcda1
the superblock could not be read or does not describe a correct ext2 filesystem.....
and so on!

any further  ideas ?

iin a forum i also read that these problems are typical fot the new sandisk sd-cards.
because they have a non-conform driver to talk with them.
ii don\'t know what\'s the truth?

Zaurus - pdaXrom / I/O error on sd-card
« on: April 26, 2004, 09:40:02 am »
hi,

i don\'t know maybe this is a known bug, but i haven\'t figured something out about this. generally writing/reading with sd-card was possible. until now!
cd /mnt/card
ls
sends following error:
ls: ./home: input/output error
ls: ./usr: input/output error

and dmesg shows following error:
pxa_sd_wait response: response time out (cmd=07.....)
sd_write_multiple(239964): select error
sd flush : ERROR adr=122386 ...
[SD]-R 1d01e600 0400 ERROR!
EXT2-fs error (device mmcd(60,1)) : ext2_read_inode: unable to read inode block- inode=...

has anybody an idea to solve this problem or where are some posted infos about it?

thanks stephan
