I think I can help you with IRK driver.
Would you post the scancodes and keytop letters of your keyboard?

6000 - Tosa / Keyboards?
« on: December 29, 2004, 09:03:46 am »
I think Think Outside Stowaway Wireless IR Keyboard is same product as PalmOne's Palm Wireless Keyboard.
You can download the driver from Craig's web site:
  http://angela1.data-uncertain.co.uk/~zauru...ex.php#CONTENTS
I tried to add support for that keyboard to Craig's IRK 0.11:
  http://www.geocities.jp/bakkeo2004/irk-zau....1f_arm.ipk.bin
(Remove "bin" extention before installation.)

Hi sunomi86,
There are two types of F8U1500 keyboard, which have different scan-codes.
Did you try both F8U1500 and F8U1500T on keyboard-type selection menu?
And, did you try to confirm the other IR data transfer softwares were completely stopped?

tumnus,
Oh, sorry....  I will make a new thread.

Your new package works fine with my SL-C3000 + LinkEvolution Bluetooth CF card (LSE039).
It's very nice, thanks!

Bombur

The ipk is here:
  http://www.geocities.jp/bakkeo2004/irk-zau....1f_arm.ipk.bin
This modified package supports some IR keyboards and HP's bluetooth foldable keyboard.
  http://www.mobile-review.com/pda/review/hp...yboard-en.shtml
HP's bluetooth foldable keyboard has Bluetooth serial port profile (SPP)(like cellular phones and GPS receivers),
so I have merely added a combo-box menu for the /dev/rfcomm port to the IRK package to communicate with the keyboard.
Be careful that the HID-profile type bluetooth keyboard, like Thinkoutside's product, doesn't work with this driver.

To use HP's keyboard, configure the "/etc/bluetooth/rfcomm.conf" file, and choose "HPfoldableBT" and "Bluetooth(rfcommX)"
menus at the comboboxes in IRK settings dialogue.
If you use this package
  bluez-zaurus_2.3-2.4.18d_arm.ipk
set the PIN number to "0000" in "/etc/bluetooth/givepin" and "/etc/bluetooth/pin" files.
Press the pairing button of the keyboard first, and then click the "on" radio-button on the IRK controlbar.
The pairing process will start.
Sometimes deleting the "/etc/bluetooth/link_key" file may be needed, if pairing could not be made.
After the LED on the keyboard turns off, you can type a word without taking care of the direction nor level of the IR port.

Hi
It' a very nice project.

I'm trying to use HP's Bluetooth foldable keyboard.
I have modified Cwaig's IRK driver and the keyboard can work with SL-C750 now.
However, it does not work with SL-C3000 because Bluez does not support C3000.

I have not tried your ipk yet, sorry, but I'd like to request a support for USB devices because the SL-C3000 has a USB host function.
I want to use a Bluetooth USB adapter, which is cheaper than a Bluetooth CF card.

Thanks in advance.

Accessories / IRK for Belkin F8U1500 Available
« on: November 08, 2004, 10:40:41 am »
Hi!  I'm also looking forward to new IRK, Craig!
Recently, I bought a new ir keyboard, PalmOne Universal Wireless Keyboard 3169WW.
I've just added the suppot for this keyboard to IRK 0.11.
The files are uploaded here:
  http://www.geocities.jp/bakkeo2004/
I made an ipk file but it may not work on the export (i.e. not japanese) models.
So someone help  me to compile this.
I wish this will be included in IRK2.

 Thanks.

Accessories / C860 Fn key emulation on Pocketop via IRK
« on: September 11, 2004, 03:04:26 am »
Hi,

Try #8207 and #8208 at IRK key macro settings dialogue.
These are the codes for font size decrease and increase.

Fn+[a-z key] emulation has been implemented in IRK 0.10.1.
Use Shift+Cmd+[a-z key] or Cmd+Shift+[a-z key] for replacement of Fn+[a-z key].

I'm sorry if they don't work, I've tested them on my SL-C750(Japanese version) only.

008, I think it is a problem of keyboard itself....  I have trouble with my F8U1500, it sometimes sends strange codes when i press left shift-key, but the other keys work correctly.

Here are the files,
  http://www.geocities.jp/bakkeo2004/irk-zau....1b_arm.ipk.bin
 (Remove ".bin" extension.)
  http://www.geocities.jp/bakkeo2004/source.tar.gz
This version supports macro settings with F8U1500.
After install, you have to reboot just after changing the keyboard type from Pocketop to F8U1500.

Hi, I have just added new keyboard support to IRK.
The keyboards are MicroInnovations TKB780U and Belkin F8U1500.

http://www.mic-innovations.com/pda_keyboards.htm
http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage...oduct_Id=144042
(this looks like T806 keyboard, but I\'m not sure)
SnapNType T806 IR Keyboard for Sony Ericsson P900 / P800
    http://www.mobilelinktech.com/shop/snaptyp...keyboard_nr.php

Both of them have a row of keys for the numbers that is missing in pocketop.
Is there anybody has one of those keyboards and will verify this modified version of IRK?
http://www.geocities.jp/bakkeo2004/irk-zau....1a_arm.ipk.bin
This based on IRK version 0.11. I have tested this only on my Japanese Zaurus SL-C750.

The keyboards seem working with my zaurus, but there are some problems.
Some of the key-combinations for OK and cancel printed on key-top may not work. Use Cmd+Enter for OK and Cmd+tab for cancel.
For TKB780U, one may have to cut or drill a hole into the keyboard, because the layout of the cover of Ir-LED is not good and the range of beam is so small.
For F8U1500, macro key setting couldn\'t be made at IRK Settings-form, so one have to directory edit the IRK.conf for using macro key.

This is strictly unofficial, so do not ask anything to Cwaig.

Hi,
I find these news today.

http://www.thinkoutside.com/news/index.html
May 17th, 2004
Read the press release for the new Stowaway Bluetooth Keyboard from Silicon Valley\'s own Mercury News.

http://www.bluez.org/news.html
09.05.2004Release of bluez-libs-2.7 and bluez-utils-2.7
The BlueZ deamons for PAN and LAN access using PPP are now part of the BlueZ utilities and so the separate BlueZ PAN package has been deprecated. It also includes the CUPS backend for printing over RFCOMM and HCRP, but the most important innovation is the official support for the HID profile.

If I couled get Think outside\'s foldable Bluetooth keyboard in next month and compile the BlueZ, the BT keybord will work with my zaurus?

Sorry, the file I sent to cwaig must be broken.  I uploaded a new one at that URL.  After download, please  remove \".bin\".  Filename\'s \"-j\" stands for Japanese-version because I made some  key macro settings for Kanji input method.  If this made problem, plese remove the macro.

Thank you, and sorry to bother you, cwaig. Recently, I started to use IRK 0.11 and found it very useful. Thank you again for your nice software.
Hi, smammon. The way I use IR keyboards and SL-6000 is shown here:
http://www.geocities.jp/bakkeo2004/index.html
By using a spacer, e.g. Japanese Xylish gum, and pasting a 2 mm thick plastic plate on backside of SL-6000, keyboard holds zaurus stably, providing the table is not slippery.
