Hi Thanks for the suggestions:

- Try Pine.
Would be good and I know that there is plenty of good applications for e-mail. The bad thing is that none of them is able to sync with Outlook (at least in an easy, automatic way). So I've to die with qtmail.

- Go back to the original ROM.
I have an SL C-860 and I think that the original ROM had some problems with drivers and so on. I'm really happy with Cacko ROM in spite of tis issue.

Hi again,

After some other tests here are my findings:
- Qtmail works if I use my fixed LAn connection
- Qtmail works if I use Blue Tooth
- While using wireless it doen't work and expects to stablish a network connection

I tried Qcop up() command and it doesn't work
Tried also dummydev but doesn't work

For some reason the wireless WIFI connection is not been recognized by Qtmail.
Netfront, Opera, and other networl applications work perfectly.

Any suggestion?

Hi all,
I tried to connect to several pop servers, re-flashed Cacko 1.23 3 times and still nothing.
Every time I try to download messages I get the message "Start connecting" even when there is already a wireless working connection, with internet access, I even can telnet the mail server.

Has anybody experienced this before? Is there any way to fix this issue?

C1000/3x00 General discussions / Bluetooth

Hi all,
I've managed to connet my C860 to my Motorola V3.
The problem is that if I disconnect and try to connect again then the V3 doesn't recognize the Zaurus.
The workaround is to delete the Zaurus from the known devices in the V3. After this is done, the Zaurus can connect again.
Has anybody seen this behaviour before?
Is there any solution to this issue?

OK New update... It seems to be not only error on user level. I tried to connect to GPRS and it works _but_ only in this scenario. I take T610, delete Bluetooth MyDevices zaurus. Then I take zaurus and try to connect to GPRS ... On T610 is dialog if I want to add new device ... and I add and write right PIN in my case 3456 and phone connects to GPRS. After disconnect it wont works, unless I delete zaurus from Bluetooth devices on T610. Same connection from same CF card in windows works flawlessly. I think problem is somewhere in pairing zaurus and T610 but I don't know where. /etc/bluetooth/pin contains 3456 and /etc/buetooth/givepin prints also PIN:3456. If anyone thinks where the problem can be please help. With that workaround I can connect to GPRS but I'd like to solve that problem. Thank you ...

I'm having exactly the same problem than you but my phone ias Motorola V3. Did you manage to resolve it?

Sharp ROMs / C860 With Cacko 1.23 --video Player Bug?

The same happens to my 860.
I had to re-process the movies with virtualdub in order to enlarge them and be able to watch a bigger format. Every time I try to enable a full-screen view the result is the same: automatic rotation and enlargement.

I do synchronise my e-mail with my Z. But I keep my e-mail in my SD.
I for some reason I change my SD (to watch some divx video) and I synchronise, then I get the same error due to the fact that my e-mail "structure" isn't in the SD anymore.

May be the same is happening to you. Have you changed the SD or CF cards? Do you synchronise e-mail or are you keeping any other PIM information on SD or CF cards?

Which SW do you use with your GPS in the Zaurus?
It seems that zroadmap is good for USA diractions but very vague for Europe.
What about the speakers? Do you use any kind of buster?

I wonder which GPS Hardware/Software combination are you using on Zaurus.
I'm thinking about to buy a serial or CF GPS for Zaurus but don't know if it's worth. Are there enough maps available? Are they updated?
I would like to hear your experiences.

Software / Zroadmap 1.0.8

I wonder if somebody has the link for a working zroadmap 1.0.8 for SL-C860 with Cacko ROM 1.22A.
The latest ipk's I've found simply don't work. Currently I'm using version 1.0-2 but I would like to install 1.0-8 in order to have support for European maps.

I have exactly the same issue.

Is anybody able to help?

Dial-up in Windows lets you specify wether you need to bring the terminal window before ppp is active. I don't see this option on the Zaurus dialer.
