I need the Zaurus, but I want something with a cellphone in it. So alas, the Zaurus must go!

Here it is at ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=5774409127

Lots of accessories, including Linksys' WiFi CF and a nice big SD card for storage.

It's running OZ with Opie, and I've set it up so you can install programs without hassle in the extra space (not just the default file point)

It's all in excellent shape. Bidding starts at $1 with no reserve, so you'd be nuts to not even bother.

Software / Opera will not open! Also flashing questions
« on: May 25, 2004, 11:59:51 am »
Hi! New to the Zaurus, as I\'ve just bought a 5600 and am playing with it to get it set up the way I\'d like.

I\'ve pretty much got comfortable with it, installing several free applications and the like, including the ZStyles package, liquid theme and some pretty icons in the the home/Qt?????/pics folder. It looks lovely.

However, now Opera will not open. Everything else works fine, but opera -- I click on it, it gets the translucent \"explosion\" graphic over it to indicate that it\'s loading, but it never gets there. The hourglass disappears. I can proceed to open OTHER applications, but sooner or later, the explosion/loading graphic disappears.

So I need to know how to reinstall Opera, if that\'s even possible. If there\'s an alternative browser, that will be fine.

Also, the Rom is 1.21, according to system info. I\'ve gone to Sharp\'s website for the update, but it says there that you should only apply the latest Rom to 1.00. I\'ve found 1.32 here (and the kernel patch that speeds up the 250-version processor) but am worried that I shouldn\'t apply it.

Best regards,
Rob Beschizza
