Sharp ROMs / cannot see smb server on z ( Cacko rom)

Hi everyone,

I have a 860 which runs  Cacko rom and a CF WLAN card works well,except one problem : although I can ping my z from PC,I cannot connect or see the samba server.

But it is ok if the USB cable is connected. I checked smb.conf, eth0(the wlan card) is in the interface list.

any hints?Thank you in advance.

Hong Kong / How about start a \'beijing\' ZUG

ts not only people in Beijing who need a CN localised Zaurus.  I live in the UK but use my Z as a quick lookup from Chinese to English and back using Pinyin and simplified characters.  Its been a big frustration to me that the only Chinese input methods I can find for pinyin all are based on the traditional character set.  A Beijing ZUG might just be the thing to get some proper CN localisation going and also bring the Z to a larger audience

I just released a pinyin inputmethod under GPL, have a try  
murphytalk pinyin inputmethod

but it is a version dedicated to C7xx/C8xx.

Qt/Qtopia / link error while building QTE 2.3.7

Maybe the hint from lpotter helps.

I had the same problem, I had to link against libqtopia to get rid of the error.

But only for compiling for the destop and qvfb.

When I compile for Sharp, I do not need to link against it.
(libqtopia is not available on my 760, such that the linking would give a program, which does not run on the Zaurus )

Yes,lpotter's hint DOES help, it's OK now.
but still don't understand which part of my approach goes wrong

how did you configure it? You should use the qconfig-qpe.h thats in the qtopia/src/qt directory of Qtopia and configure qte with it:
./configure -qconfig qpe

I copied qconfig-qpe.h to qconfig-local.h and chose local configuration while configure,so I guess it should be same as use qconfig-qpe directly. Anyway I would follow your suggestion ,use ./configure -qconfig qpe to try again.

Qt/Qtopia / link error while building QTE 2.3.7

Hi everyone,

I got the following error while building QTE 2.3.7,in the phase of
building tutorial/t1:

libqte.so: undefined reference to 'QWizard::selected(QString const&)'

libqte.so is there in $QTDIR/lib

any hints? thank you in advance

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / chinese on 5500?

hey, sorry for so many questions lately, but wanted to know if I can change language on 5500 to chinese, im running OZ 3.2 w/ opie 1.0 and installed the opie-il18n-zh-tw package and also the qpf-cyberbit-120-50-t10.ipk , but when i change the language to chinese in the language tab it gives me all these little boxes instead of chinese characters, anyone feel like enlightning me? much thanks

there is a free unicode fontset \"efont\" avaliable,try this chinese zaurus forum,u can find it on its web feed

Tokyo,Japan. But I am from China.

Own a C860, but was a 4-year Palm OS user, just switched to Linux PDA recently,\'cause I am a big Linux fan and a long time PC Linux user

BTW. anybody else lives in Japan or from China here?
