How well does it work when the steering wheel is on the other side of the car?

Just kidding

According to a few posts here on the forum and also on the web, the Japanese adapter is OK to use in the US & Canada. (same prongs, similar electrical system (100V vs 110v))

However, in Europe (240V) you would need a separate adapter.

From what I\'ve seen so far, PriceJapan is about the cheapest and painless way to go about getting a Clamshell-series Zaurus.

\"K\" (Ryouma is his Ebay ID) currently has a c860 on ebay for $669 + shipping:

PriceJapan currently quotes $624 after shipping, tax, commission, & insurance:

The only possibly cheaper way I could find was buying one off of Yahoo Auctions Japan through a deputy/proxy service. The price is good, but the comissions and double-shipping bring the price right up close to what PriceJapan is asking.

General Discussion / Questions from a prospective buyer

Hello All

I\'ve been looking at buying a C860 for some time now, and I\'m about to make the plunge in a few weeks.

I\'m trying to decide which rom I should run. I\'m a devout \"GO\" player, and it\'s important for me to be able to be able to record the games I play at the local club. If I understand correctly, the 5500 had a go program built in. But I don\'t know if this is available for the 860 or if it even has the ability to save games as SGF files.

I have seen that Cgoban and Gnugo have been ported over to the pdaXrom. Can anyone tell me how stable they are,  and how cgoban looks/works  in portrait mode?

I\'m also interested in a program to track finances, along with the usual PDA apps such as an address/phonebook, calendar, etc.

Is pdaXrom ready for prime-time? Are there other roms that suit my needs?

How much risk do I run of turning my new Zaurus into a brick by switching roms?

Thanks in advance!
Nikkos
