Nah, i really doubt it. I did get an interesting opinion though from someone on IRC. I was told that it might be a timing issue, a possible side effect of flashing the "special" kernel, (the one with the PXA250 fix).

Can anyone confirm?

Hello! I got a prob with my Z (its a SL-5600)

When i flash it with the latest tKc rom, after during the initial setup (touchscreen, timezone etc) i get to the point where it says "Plz wait, loading the personal information dialogue". That dialogue aparently doesnt load (unless leaving it for about 5-6 minutes isnt enuf...). Furthermore i cant get the System info app to load. When i tap on it, the little "loading" icon appears on the taskbar. Then it disapperas but nothing happens. Anyone got an idea?

Just a though about the codexes (for media file playback). If the desktop version of Linux uses the x86 DLLs, couldnt a Z version of Linux use the codecs from a PocketPC 2003 device? They would already be compiled for an ARM (X-Scale) processor, right?

After some testing i seem to have discovered the cause of the problem. It seems to happen only when i tap lightly on the screen. Firm taps never cause this...anyone who can confirm this?

Got my Z about a week ago. I didnt really like the way the Sharp rom looked (didnt do the screen much good) so i flashed the tKc Rom and felt good with it. But i couldnt get the sys info app to work on it, so i am now downloading the Zynergy rom to try out.

In general, what rom have u guys flashed ur Z 5600 with? How do you think it rates as far as appearance/functionality/speed goes?

Give me ur opinions

Got my Z about a week ago and ive recently noticed (while playing around in the paint app) that some times (quite rare, but also annoying) when i tap on the screen, i will get another tap some distance downwards from the place i tapped (thats the best way i can describe it  ). So in paint, this would result as a small ht vertical line being drawn just as i tap. As i said it is quite rare though. I want to find out wether this is a hardware issue or something common in PDAs (i do recall something similar happening on my HP h2210).


PS: Ive also tried screen rotation (using the latest tKc rom) and the same thing happens, although this time the line is horizontal.

Any ideas?
