Software / Media player problem

I'm also using mplayer as installed by Kino2 (freizugheit above) on my 5600 with OZ352.
It works well from the command line, but you have to learn about mplayer to use all the options, and there are plenty of them!! But it seems to be able to handle most types of media files very well...
I couldn't get opie-mediaplayer to work at all.
I also tried XMMS and still have that installed, it works ok for some things.
I think both Kino2 and XMMS use mplayer anyway when they find something they can't handle, so you might as well bypass them and start using mplayer from the start...
