i just downloaded mplayer and snyc the ipk to my zaurus 5500 i installed it into my ram memory but nothing happen i dont see no icon for the mplayer. my zaurus is runnin 2.38. im a definite noob and i dont know nothing. i thought u just install the ipk files but i guess not.

any info on how to install would be apprecited

i just bought my zaurus 5500 for 160 and its comes with a 256 mb CF card. i bought this mainly for its mp3 playback and word processing for im only 16 and in high school. however i want to get more in depth my my zaurus but dont know where to start. i dont even know whats linux and all that rom, kernel talk.

are there any necessary free software that i must get and how do people play emulators such as gba on their zaurus?

plz help
