The RCs are there so that people can test them and any final bugs can be ironed out before a release.

Have a look at the bugs in http://bugs.openembedded.org/ and see what's been reported, etc.

thats right, but where can i see the features that should be with 3.5.4... ?
I remember that 2.6 was on the list, but then removed. So I am unsure if 3.5.4RC1 for Bonzai should inlude 2.6 or not....
Somebody here how can give me a hint?

Regards

Hi,

So far as I can see this RC seems to work fine for my 6000sl except:

1) FN- plus  keys do not work for the top row of the builting keyboard. e.g. 1,2..0 also no "!" but @#$%^&*() -+ are ok. Hmm, seesm as if the keyboard completely stoped resonding after FN+Caps or perhaps NUM....

2) segv's in konqueror but his is probably something else.

otherwise the WLAN stuff is FIXED at long last ,and that neat Wellenrieter tool functions fine too.

So far...

Hardware Mods / Instructions For Adding Bluetooth To Sl6000

Hello

As I promised long ago, here are some instructions to add bluetooth to your SL6000 Zaurus.

1. Purchase a WML AHR C09 from Segor.de
2. Open your zaurus
3. See the attached picture of a Zaurus without Bluetooth, compared to a Zaurus with Bluetooth
4. Solder the chip accordingly. Note : the long line and the big X are for the antenna. The AHR C09 has an antenna built it, so don't bother.
5. Install bluez, start with:

hciattach /dev/ttyS2 csr 115200
hcid -f /etc/bluetooth/hcid.conf
sdpd

This will hopefully start bluetooth and lit the blue led.

Then:
hcitool scan
to try to find your cellphone
sdptool browse cellphone_mac_addres
to find the serial port (usually 1)
rfcomm connect 0 cellphone_mac_address serial_port

this way /dev/rfcomm0 will be your cellphone

 6. Enjoy the cool hack, and wait for the next upgrade (921 kbps bluetooth)

Hi,

Leafing through the manufacturers specs (http://www.mitsumi.co.jp/Catalog/hifreq/commun/wml/*) I see that the many lines have differing pinouts. So to be precise, is it the C09 or C19 (as pictured) model?

Also, the antenna is built in , right?

Cheers

PS VERY cool mod

6000 - Tosa / 6000 boot init error, shared library, help!!
« on: September 08, 2004, 07:17:49 am »
Hi,

As a postscript, I suppose what I learned is to RESET not unplug the power. Yes, in case you are all wondering, I have had DELL laptops that have required such remedies, and it was force of habit.

Somewhat distrubing that many computers no longer have a hard OFF switch...

6000 - Tosa / 6000 boot init error, shared library, help!!

Hi,

Well I fixed my problem, but I am still not sure how it got that way. I grabbed the Sharp 6000 default ROM and reflashed it. I restored a recent backup , and all is back to normal.

Oh, the name of the ROM bundle is: 20040217SL6V112.zip

in case you need to search for it.

Any thoughts on this and how it occured , would be useful for general knowledge.

6000 - Tosa / 6000 boot init error, shared library, help!!

Hi,

I have a 6000, and for some reason I simply cannot fathom, when I turn it on I get

" init: error cannot find libc.so.6" and it sits there, needing a reset.

Now, this raises many questions, especially why init needs a shared library, but what I really need to know is how to recover from this. I have tried installing a new kernel that drops to the command line, but it still stops on the above error.

Is there a way of interrupting the boot process? Or perhaps booting off another partition (I have an SD card).

I am pretty desparate as I have only had this for a few weeks, and I have trolled many newsgroups , so any help would be appreciated.

 Regards.
