My C860 has a cracked screen.  I'd like to buy a screen for an 860/760; alternatively, I'd buy a bricked 860/760 with a good screen.  Please post/email, if you have one to sell.

The SD card won't lock into it's slot in my C860.  This is the second unit I've experienced this problem with.  That is, it was properly seated but when I removed the SD card and tried to replace it with another, and then to re insert the first card, the card's wouldn't seat (i.e. the spring kept popping the card out).  Any suggestions?  The cards work if I hold them in, or tape them down, but neither is a very elegant solution.

Hi,

Is it possible to play internet radio stations via kino?  I'm trying to play Santa Fe public radio, without success.  I've tried to open the top level url, which points to a metafile (i.e. ksfr.asx) as well as the things pointed to in that file.  Please feel free to point out something obvious I'm missing!  Here are the contents of the meta file you open when you click on the play stream link on their website.

Software / X/qt: / Makes Caps Lock???

When I'm running X/Qt my keyboard exhibits a strange behaviour.  Whenever I type a slash the caps lock and the next characters are uppercase.  Shift cures the problem, until the next </>.  Why does this happen?  How can I cure this behaviour.  This does not happen in the Konsole (I'm running Cacko 1.22).

Sharp ROMs / Cacko 1.22 And Kismet/wellenreiter

I'm having problems with step 2.  When I try to create a dummy configuration, I bomb trying to spoof an IP address.  Each time the network app tells me I'm using an invalid IP, since no matter what I enter it thinks it's the broadcast address.  Please walk through all the steps:  What ESS-IP do you fill in?  Infrastructure / Ad-hoc?  If Ad-hoc, what channel? IP Address? Subnet Mask? Gateway?

My goal is to get SLapAss and Wellenreiter working, so if you throw in your config files for either of those, I'd be thrilled.

Mea Culpa.

Let's end the year with bad form and answer my own post.

The network app does recognize the AmbiCom wireless card.  For my office network, with a Linksys wireless device, the Config tab needs Network Type set to Infrastructure & Auto-connect needs to be off.

Now, I'm off to stupkid's feed for more fun.

Hi,

Thanks to the developers and  happy, healthy New Year to all.

I use an Ambicom WL-1100CF wireless card.  In the prior version, I got it to work with the wlan-ng drivers.  I'd like to try the hostap drivers, but my feeble memory is not supplying the names of the files that need editing, etc.  Bringing up the network tool doesn't appear to be enough.  The device does recognize the card:

cardctl ident
Socket 0:
  product info: "AmbiCom", "W1100C 802.11b CF-Card", "2.2"
  manfid: 0xd601, 0x0002
  function: 6 (network)

Any pointers to previous threads, etc. would be appreciated.

Software / Kismet+C860+AmbiCom

I have had limited (very limited) success getting kismet working on my C860, with an Ambicom card, and wonder if some kind soul would contribute their config file(s) as an example for those of us who haven't, despite much googling, found a way to the promised land.

BTW, this is what I get when I bring up a network service and run kismet:

FATAL:  No valid packet sources defined in config or passed on command line.
Starting UI ...
FATAL:  Could not connect to localhost:2501
Client exited, terminating.
