Zaurus - pdaXrom / Planex Gw-cf11x, Rc10.4...help!

Alright, so just got my new SL-C1000 from Conic's, i converted the Rom over to PDAxRom to check it out, one problem, the Planex GW-Cf11X Wifi card i got doesn't work.  And i can't really figure out the package manager either, i'm kind of a newbie to this so please be gentle...

I get nothing and it says "Anonymous Memory" when i plug it in, i tried the command in the termal and it doesn't find anything in either socket, so please help me out,

or, anyone know of any straight out of the box cards that will work in PDAxRom, i could never get my last card to work on my SL-5500, a problem that has urked me to this day.

Thanx

I have gotten farther with this card, but still no luck.  I have installed the wlan-ng package from pdaxrom, the prism3 package from sharp and done a whole bunch of fiddling with sharp's shell scripts.  I have reached the point where I need to do a RAM update to the CF card via prism2dl.  However, no matter what I do, when I run 'prism2dl wlan0 -s' (which should show the CIS and PDA info from the card), I always get a 'load_cardpda failed' message.  I have verified that the prism2_cs module is loaded and that the card is present.   cardctl show the right info.  /proc/net/p80211/nsd show the right info.  but prism2dl can't communicate with the card.

If anyone wants to help troubleshoot, I will gladly send you logs, scripts, etc.

Cheers.

Sharp ROMs / Planex Gw-cf11x On Cacko 1.22a
« on: June 19, 2005, 09:46:14 am »
Montero,

I think it is neccesary to flash the rom of this card. If you open sharp's ipk it contains some .hex files that contain the new rom data.

I will try that as soon as they fix my zaurus in bicamera. It died!

Also I was thinking about using cacko 21 and installing sharp's ipk. cacko 21 didn't use hostap_cs drivers, it used wlang-ng drivers so that might work.

Hi zetile

I already tried sharp driver under cacko and also this one http://digit.que.ne.jp/visit/index.cgi?Lin...%E9%A5%A4%A5%D0
both with identical results, card recognized but no led light and no connection.
typing cardctl status in the console I get that the state is [suspended] but I can't get it ready with cardctl resume

Sharp ROMs / Planex Gw-cf11x On Cacko 1.22a

Montero:

I have the same issue with the same card.  Sharp released the wlan-ng drivers in the update that supports this wf card in the stock rom, but these drivers were removed from cacko 1.22. The readme says that the drivers are available as a separate download but I cannot find them.

Any luck?

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Oz 3.5.2 Tests On C-700
« on: December 08, 2004, 07:14:18 am »
Ok that was the issue...

I followed the process again and it looks like my kernels date is nov 2004

I think the update script should check the missing file and fail. This bug might be discouraging many users from using this excelent distribution.

Thank you for your help!

Hello...

First, I would like to say that I am impressed by the speed of the distribution. Great Job guys!

I have the same problem described by Jerome. I am using a c860
The /etc/init.d/devices file contains the echo 1>/proc/power_key_off
line but the file is not created under /proc

when I do uname-a:

Linux shepherd 2.4.18-rmk7-pxa3-embedix #1 Thu, 6 Nov 2003 9:29:23 +900 armv5tel unknown

I just copied the relevant files (1)  from the download site. My kernel seems to be pretty much the same kernel that Jerome has but with a different date. Where can I get a kernel that will work ok?

thanks!
