Accessories / getting a wireless cf card to work

I thought my lynksis wcf11 didnt work, because i would plug it in and the light would keep flahing, it would only connect to the router once in a blue moon.
you may think this sounds quacky, but it works: i find that if you hold the wireless card with your fingers when youre connecting or transferring data, it connects great and transfers data lightning fast. apparently the human body's electrical feild works like an antenna. Ive tested this multiple times, and have found that i get a connection in under 2 seconds if i hold the card with my fingers, and it wont connect most of the times unless i hold it. I dont know why this happens, maybe the internal antenna in my card isnt functioning or theres some other kind of interference going on here. i just discorvered this today and my trusty sl-5000 is back on the net.

Software / scummvm game exits

im running openzaurus 3.2,
i have scummvm installed and working, loving it
i can play indian jones and the fate of atlantis, indy and the last crusade, monkey island 1 and 2.
but when i try to run day of the tentacle, or sam n max, after the intro scene is done, the game exits and im back to opie. im trying to run the game off the compact flash card, since i have an sl-5000d and theres not enough room on the root to install the game to my zaurus itself.
any ideas?
id really appreciate it

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / rom flash problem

if you are having trouble naming the zImage file under windows xp, heres how to do it


under windows xp, (from my experience) even if you name the file zImage, the .bin extension stays. I couldnt find a way to remove the extension. this caused my zaurus to boot to the SHARP screen.

what i did was
go to command prompt
enter the directory where zImage is stored
enter the command:
ren zImage.bin zImage

under xp, it should now no longer show zImage as a "bin file" but simply as a "file"
flash now, and it will work
