Android / Android 0.9-beta For Zaurus Sl-c3x00 (spitz)

c7x0 kernel can be found here. You can try to get this working by flashing the kernel and extracting the /home/android directory from the spitz image (android-root.tar.gz) on an ext3 formatted SD or CF. For the time being this has to be done manually. Kaze is already experimenting with it, and I think he uses the angstrom-minimal root file system.

@Kaze: any success on getting Android working on your c750? Did it work on ext2?

Trying to test on my C760: But reboot after flashing does not work ...

-I put initrd.bin, gnu.tar, android-root.tar.gz, updater.sh and zimage.bin on an ext3-formatted sd card.
-flashing works, I say no to extracting android-root.tar.gz
-zaurus reboots, screen stays black

Can anyone help ?https://www.oesf.org/forum/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif

hello, thanks for your hard work, any hope of seeing this build for c750?
When I finish the Akita image I could make an image for the c750. But only if you promise me to test it, because I don't have a c750 anymore.

hello, I would be happy to test on my C760 too

Software / Rss Reader Dmblogger Does Not Connect To Internet
« on: December 29, 2005, 03:45:54 am »
hi

I can't get the rss-readers dmblogger or corsair on my slc760 to retrieve the feeds from the internet.
I can surf the internet via netfront/opera but get an errormessage from the rss readers when retrieving:

dmblogger:
S1SharedManager: can't get proc entry
...
Connection refused - send (2)

corsair: error

I use wifi in a lan with proxy 192.168.17.3, janaserver runs on the proxyserver, port is 3128. however I found no errormessages in janaserver of blocking zaurus (192.168.17.10). of course the proxy is put in zaurus network.
I also tried to turn my xp firewall off, but that did not help either

any ideas what is wrong here ?

Software / Kde-pim/pi 2.0.16 Release
« on: January 31, 2005, 06:31:01 pm »
hi zautrix

in versions 1.9.20 and 2.0.0.0  the todo view has changed: in the setting "hide not running todos in todo-view" (and don't show completed todos intodo-view) there are no "due today" and "overdue" todos anymore in the todo-view. personally i think they should be listed as they are still active todos.
i don't like the workaround through "showing all Todos in todo view" as i am getting too many todos in my weekly view.

any chance to get this back ? i think in 1.9.18 it used to be like that, unfortunately i have deleted the package and can't get it anywhere an sourceforge

Hi zautrix

I found some bugs in 1.9.16

kopi:
when using the keyboard shortcuts to switch to the toto-list ("v") (in mode: hide not running todos in todo view) I cannot scroll up/down with the arrow-keys anymore. If I press "t" it is possible to scroll.
If I press left arrow I move to the following week, but I cannot go any further or backwards

OMPI:
copy and paste cannot be saved. the pasted text is deleted in parts

hi maslovsky

I just realized I had a typo in my cardctl of the SanDisk card which probably came into the 1.22 rom. I am really sorry ! Please correct it if possible when you do a hotfix. The correct output is:

product info: "SanDisk Corporation", "Wireless LAN Card",""
manfid: 0xd601, 0x0005

the current hostap_cs.conf entry works with a capital  D in SanDisk.

Software / Kde-pim/pi 1.9.14 Release
« on: December 13, 2004, 03:20:35 pm »
Hi zautrix

first of all thanx a lot for the great work. the kopi suite is gorgeous !

one little thing though: in the new releases in the week-view there is above the todo list a line "click to add a new todo"  which I rather like to use for the todo list itself. I am mostly using the keyboard to input new todos (ctrl+t). As I didn't find a tick in configuration, maybe it's possible to add this ?

Another question: Do you plan to add PWM/PI to windows ? I really like it on the zaurus and would like to sync to XP

Software / no sound on left earphone-speaker
« on: September 10, 2004, 05:08:02 pm »
hi there

for a week I expierence with my mp3 songs that there is no sound on my left earphone-speaker.  since it worked perfectly before and this happens with different earphones I wonder what it could be.
only recently i installed Kphone-PI and played a bit around withpout getting it to work properly. as the earphone can also be used as microphone I wonder if maybe this application (or leftovers of it e.g. open processes) could block the left earphone speaker and want to use it as microphone. Uninstalling kphone did not help. reinstalling in order to change the device did not work either - kphone won't start anymore...
however, trying to record through the earphone on voice recorder does not work either.

Or is it really a hardware defect ?

any clues ?
