Zaurus - pdaXrom / Xmms Problem

With my 860, I am using the current 1.1.0r121.  After a fresh install, I cannot get any sound to work with XMMS.  Anyone know what the problem is?

The hdd3 image usually contains just the dictionary for the C3000.  There is a copy of that on the CDs that came with it.

If it's like the C3000, it may have come with a couple CDs.  The dictionary files were the second of my CDs.

The original files on hdd3 were for the japanese dictionary and sample documents of assorted types, and these be found on the CDs that came with the Zaurus.  It is strange that the drive is mounted as read-only, though; OpenBSD might have changed the partition type for hdd3.  The Sharp ROM assumes that hdd3 is FAT32, and it could be trying to mount it as such.  You can also change the script to use ext3 if necessary; just find all references to hdd3 in /root/etc/rc.d/rc.rofilesys and change the mount type from vfat to $LINUXFMT (defined in that file to ext3).

Other than that, create a Documents directory on hdd3 and the symlinks will work again.

Newbix does mention later on that fbvnc should be run as root.

Anyhow, I've followed the directions before without any problems occuring, so make sure that you followed everything correctly.

Actually, the Internet Settings window is not the correct place to do this.
Go to the "PC Link" settings and set the zaurus to use the "PC Link Setting".  Then set the hostname, wanted ip (usually 192.168.0.201), and then make sure the connection type is "USB - TCP/IP (advanced)".

I've been using SMB networking to access hdd3 from my windows computer.  It works pretty well.

It could work with the c1000 install... maybe.  I wish I had a 3100, but the 3000 will just have to do.

If you have a linux pc available, you could try to plug it up to that and see what modules get loaded.

It could be that the device only has proprietary windows drivers.  Do you know if you have to specifically install drivers for windows?

By default, there isn't an automounter installed, so you have to do it yourself.

If it's using the USB drive system, then use
