Sorry so long been doing christmas parties .....one more beer ......oh go on then


My mplayer has the following md5sum 73e95a210f4127c1cec3e4d6773031f5  /usr/bin/mplayer

then it opens the following:

AAAhhhh missed an obvious question ......which version of zaurus do yo have ......

This works on a 5500

If yours isnt youll have to recompile mplayer with the setting in the older version.

(im currently working on this )

or ill strace mplayer and list all of the libs etc that it is using it maybe that I have an old one that survived the upgrade.



Did you reboot the zaurus after installing mplayer ? I was forced to by a wireless crash .....

The version of mplayer mentioned here:

mplayer_20030614-10_armv4l-strongarm.ipk"

seems to work...

just backup the old extract mplayer from the above file (ar then tar) and replace it

works fine from the command line.

However it doesnt integrate with xmms

more work needed

Yep I also get clicks and pops on audio with mplayer and mp3s or mp3 in avi's

my current guess is there is a lib missing or one of those mplayer confs

additionally the video speed is about half of mplayer on 3.5.1

ill have a look at it on monday ......

No problem
Luckly theres another post which has explained how to get mplayer working with xmms
and it seems to work so thats that.  I now have a faster zaurus with movies. (3.5.1 is so much more responsive !!!)
Now if I can only port a spectrum emulator so I can play jet pac.............

that works very well

I just extracted the mplayer and put it in /mnt/card/usr/lib
and
ln -s /mnt/card/usr/bin/mplayer /usr/bin/mplayer
and it works
I already had all of the xmms packages installed.....

woooot

I had tried it with other feeds of mplayer but that is obviously the one



I can now watch black books all the way to work .....dum dum dum

I tried removing opieplayer2 libxine(1)
installed them to ram and It still crashes: sob sob

<unknown>: <<<<<<<new m3u default
QDir::remove: Empty or null file name

Segmentation fault


do i need all of the other libxine libraries ........
or just libxine

I have installed 3.5.1 xmms it plays oggs and mp3 however it now doesnt play mpeg4s
the mplayer lib is installed the screen goes blank and .........nothing the full screen to not and back again works however playing the file does not. strace gives little away.

This used to work on the old 0z version (I watched all of the simpsons)

Maybe i have forgotten a codec or something

before i go hardcore decoding

can anyone help...........
