Thanks to pgas!

I have used these binaries to successfully connect to some nx servers!

I definitely need to write a how-to because there were some tweaks I had to make to get it going.

I will post the steps here soon.

Also, I had trouble connecting to a 1.5.0 nomachine server, but it worked fine against a couple of 1.4.x FreeNX servers.  I will try and track the issue down.

Thanks again for your help!

that how-to would be nice, i couldn't get it to work

I've compiled the module, but I didn't tested it ..(don't know much about NX)
the binaries are in /usr/NX/bin.

I've attached a sample session file given to me by the folks on #nx.

If someone wants to try ...

using this site
http://www.bodo.com/javame.htm

no vm yeilds a 'sorry you can't view applets' sort of message.
jamvm yeilds a gray box.

surely this means something?

is there so little inerest in javaapplets in pdax?  or can everyone else run these applets already?
I'll try blackdown.

did I do something wrong?

I do notice undefined symbol errors on libkdefx.so.4... hrmm

im using a Zaurus C 760 RC9 and kde is installed to SD card (/mnt/card/)

I don't really want to buy an aircable and a bluetooth keyboard. (does aircable work on pdax? I'm guessing it does).

Im afraid not. The Aircable BT Adapter doesnt seem to work.

I put a few days in it, couldnt get it for more then blinking a few times and then
shut down again.

Hmm. well, I guess it is cheaper to buy an assortment of usb bt dongles than 1 aircable.  guess I'll try that way (and end up with bt on everything in the house that has usb)

soo.. Blue Thooth cards work with pdaxrom? (and i assume they're CF cards?)

the answer is ASUS WL-HDD 2.5 :-) look here for details ...

... there is a firmware running a whole linux machine ... with usb host port ... wlan 54 MBit ... ETHERNET connector 10 / 100 MBit ... router ... gateway ... nfs server ... samba ... webinterface for administration ...

... connecting cardreader, mouse, keyboard, gamepad and many more via USB to wl-hdd and connecting Z via WLAN to it ... may solve your problem :-)

Have a good day and much pleasure

Hi, thanks for the tip but im a bit confused.   So the WL_HDD connects wirelessly to the Z.. ok. but how do we use a usb keyboard and mouse with the Z once it's plugged into the WL-HDD unit?

I'd pay money for a serial keyboard that'd work with my Z : )

Im a happy owner of a Zaurus C-860 running rc9.  Just wondering what sort of periferals have people got working.  Im mostly interested in external keyboards/mice.  I think I read that a USB keyboard would work if you had one of those CF USB host adapters.. but i was hoping perhaps there would be some kinda of seral adapter for the sync port thing.. acually iduno if that interface is serial or not..   I never use it so I thought I'd be nice if there was something i could plug in there so I can run my Wifi Card and a keyboard (or mouse) at the same time.  WAsn't there also a guy who managed to wireup a game controller??

Thanks,
Kyle

EDIT:  What about that 'ol infared port?  What usefull things can i do with that?

@ SSG:
can you please make yor battle of wesnoth available for us?!?

@ DaMightyWhightyMan :
i only installed stratagus, swapon and load my wcII data on my CF Card : stratagus -d /mnt/cf/wcII/data, wait 20 seconds and it starts! no magic,
runs under debian on my c700, too

bye Denis
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=68780\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

I get

Code: [Select]
# stratagus -d /mnt/cf/war2/data
Maybe you need to specify another gamepath with '-d /path/to/datadir'?
#

any ideas?
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=69229\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

FIXED

Had to run Wargus first to extract stuff out of the data files on the Warcraft CD, THEN copy the wargus generated data folder to the cf card

what is on your SD for the moment ?

I had similar problems (debian on the card), what I did is this
- reboot your Z without the card in it
- insert the card
- umount
- fdisk

This worked for me.

Chero.

Didn't work, but I used someone else's Z to repartition it.
