6000 - Tosa / ipkg confusion
« on: November 12, 2004, 10:37:11 pm »
Hi.  I'm confused about what format the ipkgs are in.

I'm using  http://www.linuxtr.net/oe/feed/tosa/ for my sl6000 with the sharp rom.

I tried ar -x <name>.ipkg and tar zxvf <name>.ipkg.  Both report bad formatting.  I tried it on my zaurus and under cygwin.  I also tried this with different packages.  I'm really trying to install directly from the feed, but I thought I might need to convert to the sharp format first.  Any ideas about how to install these packages?

Thanks!

6000 - Tosa / cvm hangs, ctrl doesn't work
« on: November 12, 2004, 07:19:01 pm »
Has anyone had this problem?  'kill -9 $pid' has no effect on the cvm processes.  Of course, other SIGs like INT and STOP have no effect as well.  I have to reset the zaurus to kill the process.  Any suggestions for dealing with it?  It's very annoying, especially when debugging a java program.

I'm using the sharp rom.

Also, does anyone know how to use the ctrl key on the gui keyboard to work?  I press ctrl and it highlights.  Then I press $letter, but it just seems to send $letter, not Ctrl-$letter.  (I haven't really written a script to test this, but it seems to be the case.  )

Thanks!

6000 - Tosa / kernel configuration file
« on: November 08, 2004, 01:01:22 pm »
Hi.

I'm trying to compile and install a module for my sl6000.  I got the sharp source the cross-compiler.  I was going to use menuconfig to compile the kernel, but I don't see a configuration file in arch/arm/def-configs for the sl6000.  What have you guys done in this situation?

Thanks.

6000 - Tosa / OpenZaurus, OZ on the 6000

Has anyone had any experience booting from a flash card (I have a sandisk 128) attached to the usb port on the zaurus?  If so, does the installation/reboot procedure differ at all?
