General Discussion / SL6000W operating manuals
« on: November 15, 2004, 02:56:31 pm »
Hi there,

Hopefully a SL-6000W should be delivered to me within the next month via Japan.  A couple of questions have arisen:

Does anyone know what langauge the manuals will be delivered in?

How will the OS/ keyboard layout et al., differ from the SL-6000L in terms of language?

Has anyone got a link to some online manuals for the SL-6000W, or even the other models?

Regards,
Zi.

General Discussion / Bluetooth News?
« on: October 21, 2004, 10:41:52 am »
I intend to get a 6000W, and a GSM card, so hopefully I could use a Bluetook handsfree device and route the audio/mic to it?

Is this possible?

P.S  Does the SL6000x have an Infra-Red port?

I read some conflicting reports about the SL-6000W.  Does this come with _both_ wifi and Bluetooth, or only Bluetooth?

General Discussion / Z SL-6000 replacing my office laptop.
« on: October 11, 2004, 12:13:10 pm »
Thx coolass for this info.  I've tried looking for SF cards >128mb but haven't found any, nor have I found the CF expander, but thats not prob.  I'll just have to look harder

Another Q:  Can I move the Z's partitions to the SF card (cut up into several partitions), so as to free up the usable memory, or am I being naive?

Cheers,
Zii.

General Discussion / Z SL-6000 replacing my office laptop.
« on: October 10, 2004, 09:46:38 pm »
Dear all,

I'm thinking about buying a Z SL-6000.  I hope it to replace my office laptop to a certain degree and function as a bee-anyway remote sys-admin tool.  I am a nib to the Z.

Hardware':

I'd lke to have the following accessories:

* 4GB microdrive.  (or similar)
* Audiovox RTM8000 GPRS/GSM compact flash card.  (or similar)

Can I run the Z with a GSM card and a high capacity storage device at the same time?
Can I redirect the display to an external monitor?
Can I add a USB keyboard and mouse? (maybe this could be achieved with a USB hub?)

Software:
Which mail readers can you install and can they handle digital certificates, especially those provided by Thwarte as our company uses these.

Any insight to these questions would help me get it right.

Thanks in advance,
Zii.
