Linux Issues / mounting directory on my Z

I have a SL5500 with the 3.10 rom. I want to be able to mount my /home/user/music directory on my mandrake bok onto my /mnt/music directory on my Zaurus. How do I do this?

Also, I really enjoyed the good ol' days of when I could sync Qtopia Desktop with my Z, but now that I have the 3.10 rom, I can't. How well does kitchensync work?

Okay, in Linux, using AcidRip (with mencode). rip the dvds at 320X240, put your bit rate somewhere around 150 or so and use the lavc compression. I played the file off my sd card with tckvideo and its in sync and looks pretty good. There's a tiny bit of choppiness when there's full screen movement. I'll try to post an example of the video so you all can try it:

I'm working right now on ripping DVDs to make them a good size/rate for the 5500. I'm using acidrip on Mandrake 10. So, I'll try to post some info here when I've got it. (:

I want to be able to rip some DVDs onto my SD card so I can watch them on my Zaurus. What format works best on the Z? This is using the Qtopia v. 3.
