6000 - Tosa / QPSword on SL6000?
« on: October 23, 2004, 01:41:00 am »
Hi!

I've been trying to get the reader to work on my 6000, but I've been having troubles with some of the modules. The KJV bible module works, for the most part, but some chapters have nothing in it. I couldn't install the Webster dictionary, regardless of whether I tried to install it in the internal memory or on my flash cards.

Has anybody used QPSword successfully? Cheers!

General Discussion / Which ROM to use?
« on: October 22, 2004, 06:22:27 pm »
I've done a bit of reading in this forum, and am I right think that most of the ROMs don't work on the 6000? This is a bit of a let down  But I guess the 6000 is still fairly new, and it will take some time for development to go ahead.

Hi, this is the first time I'm using a Zaurrus, and I'm just wondering how you decide which ROM to use? Is there somewhere that has a summary of the pros and cons of using a ROM over another? Which is the ROM that has the most number of usable apps?

Thanks for your help!

Software / QPsword for 6000?
« on: October 21, 2004, 10:03:51 pm »
Thanks! I guess I got a little confused between ARM and Xscale.

I've just tried QPsword and it does not seem that useful since it does not have any other functions like search or note taking.

Is opie-dagger another reader? Is it better?

Cheers!

Software / QPsword for 6000?

Hi!

I'm writing this on my new SL6000L, and its way amazing! But I'm trying to find some apps, and they all seem to be for the earlier Zs. Does anybody know if QPsword works only on ARM based Zs? If so, is there any bible reader I can use for the 6000?

Cheers!

« on: October 20, 2004, 03:10:09 pm »
Thanks for the encouragement

I've decided to go for the SL6000L, and so I've registered with the forum. Looking forward to learning about how to use the Zaurus here!

This is so exciting!
