I did not want to make it U.S. shipping only, but I had to send something out of the U.S. and it was a pain in the butt, I had to repackage the box at the post office... and paid way more than what I received from the buyer. The sale was made through Amazon.

I am willing to change my shipping to US only, and make it worldwide if you or anyoe else
on these forums would like. Let me know and thanks for taking the time.

I Just put my C3000 for sale on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Sharp-Zaurus-SL-C3000_...1QQcmdZViewItem

It is in excellent, like-new condition. I bought it from Dynamism the end of February 2005. I used it for about 2 months on and off. I decided it was not for me. I replaced it with a life drive, then an HP HX4705, then a palm TX, then back to the life drive after the rom update. Paired it with a new Mac Powerbook and all is perfect now.

The unit has had a screen protector since day one. It was converted to English by Dynamism. It currently has Cacko on it, which I think is much more useful than the Sharp Rom. The only mild wear is on the chrome portion where the screen hinge rotates. I am selling it with a PDair black leather case, imported from Japan, Pilot pentopia 3-1 stylus (much nicer than what it comes with), and an Asus Spacelink Wireless Card. This is a great buy for a tech Guru. I did not have the time for it...

So it is on e-bay if anybody is interested. I was unable to post my own picture since I was not able to find my digital camera. But I would me more than happy to e-mail anyone that wants one soon.
Send me an e-mail if you need more info or to make me an offer... hector.h@mac.com

Thanks for your time guys.

To be perfectly honest, you are right! I do not need the money. It will be much less than what I paid for it. However, I do not want it to sit in a drawer when I can set it free so others can see what it can do.

Am loving my C1000, so the likelihood of me getting rid of it any time soon is minimal, but when I do decide it's time is up, if at that time a C1000 is still being supported, I will be donating it to a developer. Perhaps you could do the same, if you truly won't get a decent sum of money for it? I won't blame you if you don't, because money is money is money!

Omro that sounds like the right thing to do. However, money is money, and what little I get of it back is going back to my credit card. Plus, my Z is in excellent conditoin. Just like new.

Omro,

I am going through some growing pains with the life drive. It has some bugs installing certain apps, runs somewhat slow - when opening programs, resets a few times, had to hard reset twice, exchanged my first one. But, I am very happy with it. It does just what I need it to do. I just purchased the Thinkoutside bluetooth keyboard and it is awesome!

So my Z will go on e-bay this weekend. I want to sell it rather than keep it because, I will look into buying the next Z if it has built in wireless, bluetooth & WIFI. Plus a nicer screen would seal the deal.

I decided on the Life Drive based on my need for built in wireless. I did not want to carry a sd card for internet connection, like I had to for my C3000 (Asus Cf Wireless card).

I really have no need for the hard drive but with built in Wifi & Bluetooth, I figured I could not go wrong. I have had some growing pains going back to palm. Had to return the first unit because it would keep resetting all by itself, and the center button did not work. The second unit's center button worked from the start, but, I had to do a hard reset 3 times - but that was because of software installation issues (not compatible?).

All in all, I am very happy with it - although when I turn my Z on to transfer information, I get second thoughts for a second.... What really drove me back to palm was that I was not able to find a decent(in my opinion) finance program. Debian is awesome but I need instant on when it comes to entering transactions. Plus the small screen made my eyes hurt, after prolonged used. Accounts & loans and Quick Budget is what I am using on the palm. PDAbs & Exercise & Health tracker are awesome as well.

What I really miss is Opera Browser with VGA Screen for web browsing. I will just have to adjust, I guess. The palm web browser Blazer is good. But Opera is Awesome!

Hey guys,

Thanks to everyone for all their help in these forums. I will be thinking about selling my C3000 very soon. I will post in the for sale forum when I am ready.

I just bought a palm Life Drive. By no means does it compare or even come close to what the C3000 is and can do, but for my needs, it is just what I need at the moment.

My C3000 is amazing, I have learned so much, but also spent lost of hours, both when I should have  been working and off hours. I have a Fujitsu S6120 and I do not need a laptop replacement, which is what the C3000 is, or can be.

I need a PDA for everyday use. I was able to install X/Qt and Debian, thanks to Meanie's great work. The screen is just way too small for my aging eyes. Plus the inconvenience of having to carry a wifi card moved me over to palm. I'll never go back to Windows Mobile!

I started with palm PDA's in '99, then moved to Handspring, then Pocket Pc, then Windows Mobile, then Zaurus SL6000, then Zaurus C3000, now I am back to palm.

I will keep my eyes open for a clamshell Zaurus with built in Bluetooth and Wifi, Plus the screen resolution of the SL6000, Plus possibly a bigger screen! I can dream!

Thanks again to all that have helped me. Send me an e-mail if you'd like to persuade me to sell now (perseus7@earthlink.net) or to find out about my experience with all these gadgets. I have PDAir Case, Pentopia Stylus, Asus CF Card, 1gig Sd, 1Gig CF, Screen protector since day one, Box and complete packaging.

Archi Mark,

The keyboard not working is a result of pressing one of the shift keys (right I think) plus the / key. I tried every key plus the / key to get it working. And my keyboard stopped working. It came back on its own after a while and or a reboot.

However, the / key still does not work. All I get is the letter d when I type / key.

The wireless can be solved if you remove debian (per instructions by meanie on this thread) or doing option 3 then 1 in the ok menu. I had a similar problem. Reinstalled and the internet connection is working again.

Still having problems with the keyboard. Anyone have a solution?

Thanks.

Ok, I have another minor problem.

The / key prints a letter d on the terminal window. If I do shift plus / it closes the terminal.

How do I fix this?

Thanks again/

Ok, downloaded debian file again and reinstalled.

Worked perfectly. Thanks meanie for all your hardwork. It looks awesome. I payed around with your instructions before the jumbo pack and I know how much time it takes to install and reinstall - and still not get it to work. So thanks again, you have done all of us newbies a GREAT HELP.

Thanks chuckster for your fast reply as well.

Thanks again Meanie.

Yes it shows error messages like you said.

I will remove, and reinstall the debian file from the web. Perhaps with the heavy traffic I
was unable to download completely. I tried lots of times this morning before I finally was able to download.

Could I also download from somewhere else? Or should I continue to download it from the site on this thread?

Thanks.

Jumbo XQ/T package was installed no problems on my C3000 running Cacko3kb1.

It takes about 45 min. The pocket workstation I was not so lucky at. I got some kind of error messages like no such file. Continued to install then finished.

When I click on the Debian Icon. It opens X and appears like it is going to run but then just closes and nothing happens. Nothing happens if I run from terminal window either.

Anyone else having this problem? How to solve. I tried to reinstall again but it ran through the setup super fast and said finished. But still no cigar.

Thanks for your help.
