Software / IRK 2.0

I doubt this is due to IRK, but just to let you know, when I use my keyboard on my 5500 with IRK and try to use reflective foil instead of a screen rotation program, one key will always get stuck on repeat.  I know I can disable repeat, but for deletion and arrow keys, it seems necessary for me.

I have a 5500, 3.13 sharp rom, with a Micro Innovations MP-0118 keyboard I cannot seem to get to work (likely my fault).  I would be happy to test out IRK 2.0.

*got it to work, it was my fault.  I will have to learn to press ok and not cancel when exiting a program*

Sharp ROMs / Video Player Success stories

I had the 3.10 rom and used the built in video player.  I know video can play on the Sl-5500.  Recently I flashed my Zaurus with the 2.38 rom for Qtopia sync capabilities.  Most video freezes my system and I have had no luck installing mplayer and vlc.  Any success stories?  Any help/suggestions?  Any other video players?

I never got mine to work with my 5500.  I emailed Sharp and they told me it wouldnt work, so I gave mine away.  It seems like some of you have had better luck.

Mac Issues / Help with my SL5500

If you wanna use a Sharp ROM, here are the directions to flash the Rom given by Sharp.  ROMs after 2.38 will not work with Qtopia.  You will have to put 2.38 or earlier on your Zaurus.  If you do it right, it will all work out well.  I just flashed mine today and it works well.  I did not do it before because my phone used Apples Address Book and I was just too lazy.  My new LG phone can import from Qtopia via BitPIM however, so now I have my numbers on my phone, my pda, and my computer.  Good luck to you.  Directions are here, as well as the 2.38 ROM.  http://www.myzaurus.com/ROMupdate4.asp
