General Discussion / Usb Doesn't Quiiiiiite Fit....
« on: November 30, 2004, 09:06:11 pm »
The port on the bottom of the SL-6000 is different than the port on the docking station.

The dock  has a USB mini B socket for use with the cable that came with the Zaurus.

On the bottom of the SL-6000 is a USB mini A socket for USB host capabilities.  You can hook USB storage devices, USB keyboards, and assorted other USB devices to this port  .  To do so, you will most likely need to get an adapter.

You can find some information about the adapter in this thread:
USB Host Adapter, truly worthy of new thread!!!!!

General Discussion / BEST MICRODRIVE?
« on: November 18, 2004, 11:40:15 am »
I would probably trust Hitachi microdrives the most.  The drives have generally gotten very good reviews.  Since Hitachi acquired IBM's hard drive division a couple years ago, they've pretty much been in the microdrive business the longest.

I have the 4GB Hitachi model and it has been working great so far, and doesn't seem to be much more of a drain on the battery than a traditional solid state CF card.

Hope this helps.

Software / IRK Targus Key Repeat
« on: November 12, 2004, 10:16:03 am »
Anyone know if the key repeat feature is supposed to work with the Targus wireless keyboard when using IRK .11?

For the most part, the driver works great.  However, key repeat does not seem to work   .  The box is checked to enable it.  Has anyone had any luck with this?

6000 - Tosa / Video playback on the 6000
« on: November 11, 2004, 05:30:55 pm »
What is the resolution of the video that you are trying to play?  With the config files posted above in this thread, it would seem that the video would need to be 320x240 or less.  Otherwise, mplayer will complain that the video is larger than the display and quit.
