Thanks. I borrowed a battery from a friend. It didn't help any. I'm unsure the battery had any charge though. I'll give the hand charging method a go later today.

I'll have to find a multimeter though.

So, I _think_ I have a bad battery for my c750. I do not have the money to buy a new one and find out that this is not my problem.

In anycase, I would like to know which units have the "same" battery. I found this:
http://www.mobileplanet.com/product.asp?ca...50306&listing=1

Which suggests that the 5500 and the c7x0 series might have the same one (though the unit might be suited  to handle more than one type of battery... so that is more a hope, than anything else.).

Just as a followup note, I believe it is a problem with the battery or related circutry.

The main reason, is that I was able to get into the diag menu without having to remove the battery.

I'm going to use the "charge" feature in the diags to charge it overnight. Hopefully, that will accomplish something.

I left it charging for about 1 hour, and I did manage to get the green light (next to the battery light, with the mail symbol) to come on for about a second. This was after I yanked the power supply though. I could not get it to come on with it the ac adaptor connected.

Can anyone tell me what the voltage settings on the battery should be?

Ok, my zaurus was recently reflashed, after being dead.

I installed the latest images from openzuarus.org.

The unit was running fine, but for some reason, I noticed the batery was not recharging. That may have been due the fact that I was trying to use a non-sharp ac adapter. The light did come on.

Then I "shutdown" the zaurus. It never came back. The battery light did come on.

Then, I borrowed the proper power suppy from a friend, and tried to reset it buy pulling the battery out, waiting 5 seconds, yada yada... hiting the power button with "ok" pressed. Nothing.

So, I went into the diag menu and erase and installed a nand backup that I d/l'd. Nothing. I tried a different image that I found. Nothing.

Basically, what happens now is this: When I connect the power supply, the battery light blinks quickly, then comes on again after about a second.

I can still get into the diags menu. But nothing else. If I select "reset" from the diags, I get nothing (save the battery light). I have to do the "hold d+m down" to go back to the diags.

the nand test is not reporting any bad blocks.

I am a little worried that I did not clear the diag boot flag properly. I selected "clear diag flag" and a screen came up saying it was set to none. But, there was nothing to do but hit escape (backspace) on that page. So, I do have my doubts as to weather it got cleared. Especially since, if I hit the power button, then hit it again, I went right back to the diags. If I select "reset" I'm right back where I started.

Any advice would be greatly apriciated.
