For Sale / Wanted / For Sale: C860 + Lots Of Accessories
« on: September 09, 2007, 06:52:32 pm »
I have a C860 with several accessories that I no longer use.  Before I put them on eBay, I want to give someone in this community the chance to snag it.

Conics.net is selling a used C860 for $286 with 1 month warranty.  I'm asking for $250 for everything below.  I would like to sell it all as one package, but contact me if you are interested in an accessory.

SL-C860 (like new) with box and all original accessories and documentation.  Running Cacko ROM 1.23

CE-AG06 CompactFlash Digital Camera Card (minor paint scratches).  Includes box and documentation.

10Mbps CompactFlash Ethernet Card (for connecting the C860 to wired networks).  Comes with a PCMCIA adapter so it can be used in a laptop as well.

F8T020 Belkin Bluetooth PDA Adaptor Card.  Includes card, CD, and documentation.

EA-70 Power cord for C860 (spare).

Car lighter power adapter.

Mobile charger.  Runs on 4 AA batteries to run/charge the C860.

In my case, I did restore some of the Settings directory files from the 1.22 version.  Perhaps I overwrote one that messed up the overclocking applet?

Yes, you did.

Thanks, Maslovsky.  I figured out that I had accidentally overwrote freqchange.conf in the Settings directory.  Once I restored it with the original 1.23 version of the file, all was fine.

1.23 is a great rom.  Thanks for the hard work!

Did you format user partition? Did you restore contents of /home/zaurus/Settings direcory from your Rom 1.22 backup?

I haven't installed any overclocking applet and like Glenbo, I believe the menu looked like the menu in 1.22 and then it changed to what you see now.

Here is a list of the packages I installed after flashing 1.23:

DocReader,  JavaChess,  Shopper,  amortize,  backgammon,  bounce,  iceblox,  inkwp,  iqnotes,  iqnotes-pics,  jeode,  justreader,  ko/pi, ka/pi, kmicrokdelibs, korganizer-alarm, mahjongg, mooview, opie-reader, petitepeinture,  pimTABicon, portabase,  qpaint,  qpdf2,  qpe-camera,  qpealarmclock,  qpsword,  various qpsword modules,  spades, tkcvideo,  treeexplorer,  unifont,  visiscript,  zsolitaire

I'll run backup, reflash and restore tonight and see if that fixes the menu issue.  I just hate not knowing what may be causing this.

I recently flashed 1.23, nice job Maslovsky, and the overclocking menu appears to be different than in 1.22.  Is this the way it is supposed to look?  If not, how can I fix it?  If no quick fix I'll reflash, but I was hoping for an easier solution.

You've isnatlled tetsu overclocking applet package probably. This menu is not from default ROM installation

I'm running 1.23 Lite on a C860 and that's how my overclocking applet looks as well.  However, I think it looked normal right after I flashed.  I have not loaded the tetsu package, but it is possible I guess that some other package caused the problem.  Is it possible that a configuration file has been corrupted/changed?

Software / Kde-pim/pi 2.1.0 Available!
« on: June 30, 2005, 12:40:41 pm »
Great software.  I'm trying it out for the first time and wonder if there is a filter or something else that will let me display a list of todos that are of a single priority.  That is, can I somehow have it ONLY show me tasks with a priority of '1'?  I can't seem to do it with a filter.

Also, the recurring todos are nice, but it seems that when you complete a task all it does it change the due date on it.  I then need uncheck the complete box.  I would think that completing a recurring task would generate a NEW copy of the task with the new date.

Thanks again for all the good work!

Sharp ROMs / Scp Not Working On Cacko 1.21b
« on: December 02, 2004, 05:02:31 pm »
I have this problem too.  But I can get around it by using 'su' to switch to root first and then trying scp or sftp.  I haven't tried to figure out why it doesn't work under the normal 'zaurus' user.
