Zaurus - pdaXrom / Current Version For 6000 (tosa)?
« on: May 07, 2006, 07:00:28 pm »
I hope too things will be updated soon for SL-6000.
I just donated a little $$ to show support.

I really love pdaxrom and I love my SL-6000, so I hope it will not be dropped
for future upgrade and support.

Having the built-in wifi work with the network setup app  would be absolutely           GREAT!!
Hope u find some time to work on your patch

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Rc10 Out For Testing..

KUDOS  to the pdaxrom team for make this availible to SL-6000.

I have been playing with it for a week and, in my humble opinion, this is by far,
very very far, the best rom i have used.
For what i want from my Z (pretty be  a mini linux laptop), it burries the sharp rom,
OZ, debian over QT ...
It is a LOT snapier and stable than debian (eg try firefox).
All the apps i tried so far work very well, and mostly out of the box, (firefox,
mplayer, xmms, abiword, kismet, quake, vncviewer ...)
Even the bluetooth stuff work great.
(I managed to use my cell phone as a bluetooth modem).

I have a couple questions:

Why is there some stuff in the feed, that, eventhough the .ipk file is there, the
package not appears in the "Packages" file? These "removed" packages are then not
availaible through the package manager.

adf - you seem to have gotten VLC running. I think i installed it successfully,
but does it have a gui? 'Cause  when I launch with vlc or wxvlc from command line
I get the "remote interface initialized' then nothing. Using the VLC icon created on
the desktop does not seem to  do anything. Any tips?
I'd really like to be able to use shoutcast stream on my Z.

Thanks

Hi all,

smuelas web site seems to be down. I need to get the .xmodmaprc file he posted there
to get the keyboard working right.

Could somebody be kind enough to post it here or point me to where i could find it.

Thanks
