6000 - Tosa / Replacing Headphone Jack?

Something you might try is to try to superglue the end of a toothpick to the stub of the jack and then pull it out with that.  Just be careful to use the minimum amount of superglue.

no risk, no fun! your idea worked, thanks a lot!
was quick and easy, just put the tiniest amount possible on the tip of the pick.

« on: November 01, 2005, 06:08:18 pm »
I'd like to get the original japanese sharp rom for the sl6000w back because i couldn't get bluetooth and japanese input working correctly on other roms.
Does anyone know if they released a new version since the last year and where i can get it?

bluetooth yes because I use it daily on my 6000W. WPA, I don't know - so I think I don't need it.

Give me a link to a WPA capable application for the zaurus and I'll see what I can do.

I mean the ability to connect to a [a href=\"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wi-Fi_Protected_Access]WPA[/url]-PSK encrypted wireless lan. WEP is just too insecure.

Sharp ROMs / 3 Questions
« on: July 17, 2005, 09:10:11 pm »
Hi!
I got 3 questions:

Where can I get the most recent japanese Sharp Rom for the SL-6000W?
Does WPA-PSK work with it?
Can I convert the menu texts to english while still keeping japanese language support?

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Oz 3.5.2 On Sl6000w
« on: December 10, 2004, 09:17:37 am »
A few questions about OZ 3.5.2 on the SL6000W:
  • Does bluetooth work?
  • Can I use japanese input methods?
  • Does opera work?
If not: any chance seeing it in future versions?

Thank you

I don't think anyone has, but I agree it would be great to be able to use them with the Z.  There is a well established project at sourceforge for a kernel module to support the more common chipset, so it may not be too hard to get it working on the Z.  Check out my previous post and the link in it.
You link appears to be dead, can you check for misspelllings?
Sorry about that.
Here's my original post:

It would be great to have the capability to hook up a USB web cam.  There is an active project here that does just that for Linux, with a kernel module.  Perhaps one of our more capable members can take a crack at getting it  working with sl-6000????

Still looking for a capable member to save the day...

Actually it's the SF link that appears to be dead (at least for me).. Just redirects me to the sf frontpage. Also I can't find the project with the site search.
