Germany / Zaurus-info-stand Bei Chemnitzer Linux-tagen 2006?
« on: November 05, 2005, 08:25:01 am »

Lutz

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Where To Download Om/pi (ompi)?
« on: October 03, 2005, 05:57:17 pm »
Hello grog

For the current stable version download the file kdepim_2.2.0_for_OZ_gcc3xx.ipk.zip from  the KDE-Pim/Pi project page at SourceForge  (as you had read at pi-sync.net).
Decompress the file, have a look in to the ReleaseNotes.txt and install the following files:
kmicrokdelibs_OZ-gcc3xx_2.2.0_arm.ipk
kopiemail_OZ-gcc3xx_2.2.0_arm.ipk

And have fun!

Hello,

is there now a functioning package, in order to encrypt and decrypt partitions or file container automatically at the background?

Or can someone give me a HOWTO, how this function can be realized with the packages existing for the Zaurus (Sharp or Cacko Kernel)?

Thanks!

Software / Kino2 0.4.3 Series Released
« on: September 07, 2005, 11:47:13 am »
Hello Anton,

you make a good job. But I have a little problem with my C760.

Code: [Select]
# ipkg install kino2_0.4.3_arm.ipk
ipkg_install_file: ERROR: kino2 depends on the following uninstalled programs:
         mplayer-w100
ipkg_install_file: You may want to use `ipkg install' to install these.

The current MPlayer is also for the Zaurus C7x0/860 the file mplayer-bvdd_1.1.5-1_arm.ipk.- Or did I understand that wrongly?
In the control file from kino2_0.4.3_arm.ipk no dependence is contained.
Where is the problem?

Workaround:
In order to be able to install the current version, I installed mplayer-w100 again,
then I installed Kino2, then I removed mplayer-w100 and installed mplayer-bvdd.

And the current version of Kino2 runs.

Regards
Lutz

Edit: I was too slow, Anton have a better workaround.

Sharp ROMs / Irda Broken In Cacko 1.22a?
« on: April 18, 2005, 09:29:39 am »
Hi Silvio,

on my Zaurus with Cacko 1.22a Lite nothing is missing. I can connect without problems to the mobile phone with IrDA (for GPRS). And beaming files is also no problem (both devices must understand IrOBEX).

But I cannot synchronize that mobile phone (Nokia 6230) with KO/Pi over IrDA.

Okay! That is it.
It functions again.

Thanks!

Try to start syslog (/etc/rc.d/init.d/syslog start) and see what messages appear (tail -f /var/log/messages) when you insert your USB stick.

User Request for Applications / Program For Automatic Encrypting
« on: January 18, 2005, 04:23:25 pm »
Hello

I would use a program for automatic encrypting of directories (containers) or partitions with Sharp/Cacko ROM.
I am not a programmer and I search a developer to help me.

Chrisd provided from Bestcrypt a package for pdaXrom. But the package for PdaXrom does not work with Cacko ROM. https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showt...indpost&p=62598
Chrisd can not or would like provide a package for Cacko. https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showt...indpost&p=62914

The sources of Bestcrypt are available.
http://www.jetico.com/index.htm#/linux.htm
Bestcrypt is commercial software. I would be pleased also about an alternative program (free software), which can encrypt containers or partitions however automatically.

Who can help me and provide a package of Bestcrypt (or a alternative) for Sharp/Cacko ROM?

Thanks
Lutz
