great speed & small memory usage (cca 6Mb! ;-)

keybindings is most efective!

Same WM on my notebook, workstation and Z, mmmmmm ;-)

Sash will be starting some testing with the 2.6 kernel today :-) But we will probally stay focussed on finishing the current one and good and stable before changing kernel.

Debian doesn't use softfloat.

This makes the applications from pdaxrom and openzaurus incompatible with debian, no matter the version of libc used:

http://www.arm.linux.org.uk/mailinglists/faq.php#f4

(I think that familiar doesn't use softfloat for compatibility with debian though).

Hmm, but:
i'am replace /lib (2.2.5) with /lib (2.3.x - debian/testing) on running pdaxrom (rc10) and -
many debian and OE application work ok!
i think - soft load not incompatible for 100% programs...

Why pdaXrom stay on 2.2.5 ?

As for minimo, there is a version compiled for pdaxrom in the feed.

minimo in pdaxrom feed is too old..
IMHO duplicated work...

Hi all (and Laze ;-),

What about $subj ?

With libc6 2.3.x - run native (without chroot) debian programs, openzaurus feed (minimo!), etc...

thanks,

a gui. i found xboard somewhere, but you cant change the size, its too small.
a 480x640 gui would be nice. does anybody know a feed which contains
a usable gui?

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Evolution Anyone?
« on: December 20, 2004, 07:38:20 am »
If you have large CF/SD card, try Debian!
>15.000 packages now, no compile problem,  trivial install, no dependance problem(apt-get install evolution)

Some links (and screenshot's ;-):

http://www.pocketworkstation.org/
http://wiki.debian.net/index.cgi?PocketWorkstation
http://zaurusfun.4t.com/index.html
http://w3.mecanica.upm.es/~smuelas/debianxqt.html

Compatibility PdaXrom and Debian is right way  for get running a lot of programs on pdaXrom!!

Manualy compile single programs is hard, no good and no efective work.
