All solar power devices I found here around have 6V output but Z needs 5V.You can use a voltage regulator (it's a simple ciruit with ICI 7805 integrated or similar)
Did anyone tried feed 6V to the Z? Is it dangerous?
Also on the back of SL-5500 is information that it needs 6.2W power supply but most solar packs offer ~1.5W only. Does it means that this will not works?
Thanks in advance,

QDateEdit is only present in Qt versions >= 3.0.0

I suspect it's not a Python limitation but rather one of those imposed by Sharp's implementation of Qt/Embedded. See the Trolltech site for details.

If you want to get rid of the Sharp Calender you will have to manually remove the application (and related libs too if you're really keen).Tks Stu, but the reason is, of course, the space.
To do this you will need to remount / read-write (not for the faint at heart ). An easy option if you aren't worried about space is to just remove the .desktop file in /home/QtPalmtop/apps/Applications/ - that way it won't show on Qtopia any more and you can forget you have it installed.

I would be curious to see how you like the Ko/PI calendar. I am pretty happy with the Opie version, but always interested in what could be better.Hi Craig, tks for your replay, I supposed...
I hope this helps,
Craig...
you could look areound the forums.. a lot of cards are listed.tks a lot
Linksys makes an 802.11b card that works, so does dlink.
the linksys is the WCF11.
they are pretty comonnly used, so finding soemone w/ info on 'em should be easy.
I used both on my 5600.

I meant, why a "g" card. I don't think the Z cf will support that kind of speed.I'avent thinked about Z cf speed support :-(
is your wireless ap 80211.g only? if not, I think you will be a much happier person if you
try a "known good" 80211.b card.

I've been trying to figure out why you want to do this. I can't guess, but it sure sounds interesting. Why do you want to do this?Because I've found a lot of problem to connect my Zaurus with the AP (USR Robotics 5410 & 9106); it works only in Ad-Hoc mode.

For the pymsql module, you'll need to get one that matches your version of Python. My Python 2.4 image for Sharp ROMs (I really need a short catchy name for that beast ) already includes pymysql. If you're using the "Python for ARM-Linux" packages from www.vanille.de, I suspect there is a pymysql package in their feeds (however the site is "offline" right now as it appears they're preparing to release Python 2.4 packages). If you're using some other version of Python for the Zaurus, good luck ... you'll need to talk the maintainer into building and releasing a matching pymysql module.
