Sharp ROMs / Cacko Zaurus Qtopia ROM 1.21 is available!
« on: May 18, 2004, 05:37:20 pm »
Could someone point me to some instructions for using the Ratoc CF USB Host to access mass storage devices with Cacko Rom 1.21. I plug in the card and it is recognised... sorry to be slow but what is next?

Software / Run EPOC in a Zaurus C860 ?
« on: March 16, 2004, 05:41:48 pm »
EPOC emulation would be awsome for running PIM apps, particularly if it were possible to port the apps from the 5Mx. Of course they would be better with colour and at 640 x 480.

Sharp ROMs / OK, Now the Real New Cacko Qtopia ROM
« on: March 14, 2004, 03:19:36 pm »
All was going well (Cacko Qtopia ROM) ... but the Package Manager has developed a problem. It won\'t install packages anymore ... I get \"ipkg says something went wrong. Sorry\". Even if I uninstall a package which was previously installed, it won\'t reinstall. Does anyone know how to fix this? A Reboot does not help.

Thanks

Sharp ROMs / How do I FTP to my C860?
« on: March 13, 2004, 03:31:55 am »
On a C700 with cacko rom, install OpenSSH-server on the zaurus. From Windows I just use WinSCP (http://winscp.sourceforge.net/eng/),  SCP protocol, port 22. May work on C860 as well.

Thanks. I have tried both FAT and FAT32. After reformating, anything I put on the SD is invisible to the C700. I will do a search to see if I can find any other info. If you have any ideas, they would be welcomed. Thanks, Richard

LATEST - I did a fsck on it and it is ALIVE. Thanks

Sharp ROMs / OK, Now the Real New Cacko Qtopia ROM

I finally decided to install a new ROM and choose slc7x0-Qtopia-1438050304. All is well except the the Zaurus can only see my Viking 256MB SD card as Read Only. I tried reformatting it via my PC but all to no avail. I can read and write using my PC. It was working with the default Sharp ROM. Can anyone tell me how to fix it so I can write to my SD Card?

Thank you.

Does tkcROM work with the C700, if so, which updater.sh file should be used?

Thanks
