I can use
iwconfig eth0 key XXXX restricted
iwconfig eth0 essid MYESSID
iwconfig eth0 mode Managed
ifconfig eth0 192.168.0.11 up

all fine.

But "iwconfig eth0" on it's own results in the zaurus locking up.

And I can't seem to communicate with my AP in any case.

It is using the spectrum_cs driver which would appear to be appropriate...

Hi,
 I've just flashed my SL-5600 to the OPIE variant of OZ 3.5.2

I cannot get wireless working. USB networking is working ok.

I have a socket (symbol) CF card.

If I attempt to use network config UI whilst the CF card is inserted the zaurus hangs
If I attempt to use iwconfig directly the zaurus usually hangs.

Does anyone have this combo working, and if so what config changes did you make, did you install a new driver, which one?

Currently as shipped OZ appears to be using the orinoco driver:
