Angstrom & OpenZaurus / New User Questions For C860
« on: December 23, 2004, 12:39:46 pm »
are there good instructions on backing up and restoring the original sharp system in case oz doesn't work?

how does gpe on 3.5.2 handle the swivel screen on the zaurus c860?  does the screen rotate or does it not work or does it crash?

how good is the dev environment on the zaurus?  i use my zaurus as a very portable development laptop.  yes it's not the fastest machine to code on, but it's the only thing i can code on during long train journeys or trips.  i've never used it as a pda.

where is a cross-dev environment for an x86 linux system?  i see a few around and i don't know which to pick.  specifically i'd like to build and package a linux/arm to x86/windows version of the gcc based mingw compiler.  if i get to this point i'd like to pass this on the the mingw project and into the oz project - who would i contact for the latter?

i see references to a wiki.  where is it?

i see references to a mailing list, but no links work.  where is it?

thanks,

kevin

Site Suggestions, Requests, and Updates / Account Issues
« on: December 23, 2004, 12:18:06 pm »
first, i hate phpbb.  mailing lists work much better.  but anyway...

i apparently registered here several months back.  i forgot my username. since the "forgot your password" section requires a username, i just decided to start a new account.  however when i clicked to finish the registration it complained about my email address - kevin@ie.suberic.net.  there was already an account with that email address associated with it.

the forgot your password section doesn't accept an email address for the member name.

so i have a few other email addresses, so i used one of those.  but it seems like a simple thing to search for the email address on the "forgot your password" section.
