Sharp ROMs / Cacko Feeds
« on: January 23, 2005, 05:52:22 am »
I would like to run phpwiki (1.2.7 or 1.3.x) on my Zaurus by using a GDBM database (because this is the fastest storage option).

Therefore, I am looking for

1) an "Apache+PHP" package including php compiled with the option "--with-gdbm".
The current available Apache ipk's don't habe gdbm support.

2) the GDBM library compiled for Sharp-ROMs.
GDBM is currently only available for pdaXfrom.

Maybe you can add this stuff to the feed.

Thanks
Ralf

Sharp ROMs / Ok, No More Major Issues In Cacko 1.22?

the most critical fix for me would be the battery charging issue (on SL-C860).

In the meantime I have to revoke my concerns about the battery charging. My SL-C860 is charging now without problems. LED is properly powered off. Maybe my device was too new at the beginning.

Sharp ROMs / Pdaxrom Software Package On Cacko Rom ?
« on: January 22, 2005, 05:47:21 am »
Hi,

is there anybody who can say if binary packages from the pdaXrom feed run on Cacko ROM (1.22) ?
I am especially interested in the gdbm ipk from the pdaXrom stable feed.

Or, is there a gdbm package available for Sharp ROMs ? I couldn't find any.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

the most critical fix for me would be the battery charging issue (on SL-C860).

My SL-C860 is brand new and I don't want to overcharge the battery.
On the other hand, is it already known what happens in that case ?
Is the battery still charging (with the risk of destroying it), when the LED is on ?
What is the risk of loading it more than 4 hours ?

One question regarding the packages in the feed:
What is the difference to the original packages ?
Do you re-compile them ?
Do they fit better to the Cacko ROM ?

I am just wondering since some package names have an additional "-1".

Cheers

Sharp ROMs / Is Cacko 1.22 Ready To Depend On
« on: January 10, 2005, 06:57:20 am »
Anyhow, my Buffalo WLI-CF-S11G (WiFi) and Anycom (Bluetooth) card worked from scatch.

The only thing is that you need to install an older version of the panapplet (see FAQ) when you configure both Bluetooth PAN and Bluetooth PPP.

Sharp ROMs / Bust'em Registration Code
« on: January 09, 2005, 08:29:29 am »
Hi,

when I start the game Bust'em (demo) from the actual cacko feed, the game asks me for a registration code.
How can I skip this question and start the game ? I don't think that I need to register for the demo.

Thanks in advance
Ralf
