If you are on a network, and you are connecting using the network, then the name "zaurus" would need to be in the DNS with a specific IP address. If "zaurus" is not in the DNS you should use an IP address from the network you are using. Is it on a private (non routeable) network that you have set up (in which case give yourself an additional IP address. You can setup your own DNS later), or an office/university LAN/WAN? You may need to have the local admin give you a routeable IP address for you zaurus, and have him/her put the IP in the DNS.

Hi dping28,
The Z should generally mount an SD or CF card automatically. Back in the day of my Rio PMP-300 I know the format of the cards used in Rios was some proprietary filesystem that was only recognized in the Rio. So it wouldn't automount, or mount at all in any other system I tried. Do you know what filesystem is on your SD card? If it has an unusual filesystem on it you may need to help mount out by telling it.
